I got this because I wanted a cleanser with salicylic acid for my occasional breakouts, but I think it’s a bit too much for my skin. I have pretty sensitive skin and it didn’t bother me, but it was a bit too drying for my skin. It smells nice, it has a cooling tingle when I use it & my skin has a lovely velvety feeling after using it, but next time I will order the other charcoal face wash that’s not so harsh. I currently use it about once a week and that’s enough for this face. I think this would be excellent for someone with oily skin and some acne. I think it would be perfect for that. Or, if you have occasional breakouts and sensitive skin, this would be great for occasional use. Overall, I like it, I think it’s effective, but it’s a bit too strong for what I need. I will definitely try the other Biore charcoal cleanser though. ... show more

First time buying Charcoal face wash. I like Salicylic Acid treatment to prevent breakouts. You only need a little it lathers up great. Has a bit of a heat sensation that I know will bother some. Strong stuff i like it will buy again, but the large bottle may last months!

My skin has never been as clear as it has since I started using this charcoal scrub a few years ago. I love buying generic brands when possible, but I haven't found one that rivaled Biore - will pay full price for the name brand.
