I have sensitive combination skin that's prone to breakouts, and I love this cleanser. It's refreshing with a slight tingle and leaves your face feeling clean, soft, and soothed. It's great for my oily patches and will do wonders for oily skin, but I recommend pairing it with a moisturizer afterwards, especially for dry skin. My skin has never been as clear as it has since I started using this charcoal scrub a few years ago. I love buying generic brands when possible, but I haven't found one that rivaled Biore - will pay full price for the name brand.

This is by far my favorite cleanser for zapping breakouts! I’ve noticed some people complain about this cleanser being too strong and causing burning...but I feel like it’s better suited for NON sensitive, oily, acne prone skin like mine. I also suspect that lighter skin individuals tend to be more easily irritated and burned by some skin products. (Not to say that this couldn’t irritate someone with sensitive, darker skin too though ) Yes it does have a tingly sensation, as if you were using a strong peppermint soap. I even leave it on for just a few seconds to really let it work. Leave it for too long and it does begin to burn - but I wash it off before then and have no issues. Just make sure to avoid using any exfoliants or products that would sting at the same time. When I have a breakout it does a great job of clearing up my acne and getting rid of whiteheads. I have blackheads on my nose that I was trying to reduce. I haven't used this long enough to see a difference because it's a little too strong for my skin. I have sensitive skin and I think it would probably do a better job for other skin types or maybe I should only use it on my nose.
