  • Smells, feels and works amazing!
Size: 6.7 Fl Oz (Pack of 1) Pattern Name: Oil
I used a different stretch mark lotion my last pregnancy and wished I would have known about this one first. It feels smooth on my skin and doesn’t stain my clothing. It has a light scent that is not overbearing. Also I have had no stretch marks this pregnancy! Not sure if it’s due to this oil but I will continue to use it postpartum as I have a couple surgery scars that it helped lighten up the skin tone to. ... show more

  • No stretch marks thus far..
Size: 6.7 Fl Oz (Pack of 1) Pattern Name: Oil
Currently 33 weeks pregnant, on my second bottle and not one stretch mark. I know this fact has a lot to do with genetics (you can’t tell my mother had 5 kids) along with ZERO sun exposure on the belly (I live in Florida). Started using this once a day/ every other in my first trimester and then got serious about applying twice daily towards the end of my second trimester. I’m 5’3” and was about 130 lbs when I got pregnant, currently 170 lbs. Hoping that this product continues to work its magic! ... show more

  • For skin care and as prescribed for medicinal purposes
I was told to obtain this product by my surgeon to use as he directed to soften and reduce the appearance of a multitude of post-surgery scars and old stretch marks once initial healing was evident (the product itself advises NOT to use it on broken skin). My personal responses to this product are multiple in nature: --It smells glorious if you like lavender and other subtle herbal and floral notes. --It softens skin so well in my dry, drought-afflicted mountain climate that I use it all over my body (and even occasionally on my neck and around my mouth) after showering--which I must do twice a day due to several dozen stitches with which I am currently contending. It's lovely to see aging skin become so much softer and somewhat smoother along with a pleasant scent. --Price: Initially I bought a small size (approx two ounces on sale at Walgreens) to use as a test sample at a price that actually turned out to be significantly higher per ounce than that of a 6.7 ounce size on Amazon. Having realized how much I liked this product, I immediately purchased the 6.7 ounce size from an Amazon source that delivered the product within a few days. I quickly realized that I would be using this product routinely, surgery or not, so I bought a 6.7 ounce two bottle pack from an company whose Amazon mailing time was three to four weeks (so not yet received), but whose price meant that I was paying about the same per each 6.7 ounce bottle than I had paid for the small 2 ounce test bottle purchased from Walgreen's (though I am grateful to them for the opportunity to try it out immediately). SUGGESTIONS: --Remember, this is an oil. Use it on clean skin without slathering it on (I've always been a "more is better," person, but not with this product). Although I've never had any of this oil bleed through my relatively thin medical compression garments, nor onto my bed sheets, I wouldn't test it out on my best lingerie or clothing immediately after applying it. Instead, take some time after applying this product to style your hair, floss and brush your teeth, or put on makeup, or do other tasks until the oil is at least fairly dry on your skin--plan ahead for this. You know you're ready to dress when no oily residue comes off your skin, even though you may still feel the pleasant sensation that oil has been applied. Note, dear persons, that pantyhose or underpants can go on immediately--and this becomes far more easy with the former--this oil hasn't caused a residue issue for me with these particular garments. --Use a paper towel (such as those that allow tearing only a 6 inch wide strip), folding it to a 3 inch wide strip and then in half lengthwise. Place the paper towel around the bottle to catch any drips (this product pours from a small opening at the top). This way the bottle doesn't become slippery or oily, or leave oil on your vanity surface or wherever you may set ultimately set the bottle down. It also means you can switch hands If you need to do so to reach areas far across either side of your body without putting an oily hand on the plastic bottle. As a last step, you can put the bottle down on the partly unfolded paper towel, pour some oil into one hand, rub your hands together--then apply to both legs, hips, or arms simultaneously, if desired. After use, wipe the bottle and/or the now closed lid (if the paper towel is still usable, or just get a clean one), fold the towel into quarters and place it beneath the bottle to leave on your vanity or in your medicine cabinet. --It works for massage when you just feel achy (or have an accommodating partner) if used sparingly. WARNING: DO NO USE THIS PRODUCT FOR ANY MEDICAL PURPOSE UNLESS YOU ARE DIRECTED TO DO SO BY A PHYSICIAN. Simply be wise and ask your doctor first; it's the prudent thing to do. As for non-medicinal use: well, just enjoy it. ... show more

  • Great product not so great smell
Size: 6.7 Fl Oz (Pack of 1) Pattern Name: Oil
First time using bio oil. Bought the biggest bottle, as I’m planning to use it throughout my pregnancy. Seal or no seal: there is NO seal. There are so many conflicting info in the reviews and the Q&As. So I actually went to the local drug store and got one to compare. Same thing, no seal. The one I got from the store is the smallest size. Maybe years ago it came with a seal? I don’t know. All I know is that the current version doesn’t. So please stop calling it a fake because of that. Pros: I developed dry/red/flaky skin around my mouth since pregnancy. I tried lotions, serums and oil based essence but none of them last more than a couple of hours before the skin becomes dry and flaky again. I tried this bio oil around my mouth, it actually would keep the area moisturized very long. I do wash my mouth after meals and re-apply, so I don’t know whether it’d last a whole day, but it has been dramatically longer lasting than my other products. The redness is also reducing overtime. Not completely gone yet, but previous the redness was surrounding my mouth area, now it’s only at the corner of the mouth and above, nothing on the chin any more. My husband is also using it on his knuckles on one hand that’s itchy. It seems to be helpful for his skin condition too. We don’t know exactly what that is, the doctor just asked him to put anti-itchy cream which isn’t very helpful. This oil does help so he’s been using it. Cons: Gosh for me, it has to be the smell. I honestly thought it was a fake product when I first tried it because I really don’t like the smell! Some reviewers said they love the smell or it comes with a pleasant smell, no it doesn’t! That’s another reason for me to get one from the drug store to compare. It turns out that’s just how this thing smells. It has a a pretty strong oil smell that reminds me of industrial oil products. It doesn’t come with the any flowery or pleasant smell, not even like the basic no-smell oils, but actually something I dislike. So be forewarned. If you put a little on your palm, the smell isn’t strong, but if you rub it in, like on your tummy or on your face, holding your breath for a few seconds won’t do it. Since I do use it around my mouth, I even tried to mix it with my other non oil based serums to cover its smell a little, which helps but it also reduces its moisturizing effect. Since it’s the only product that works with the dry skin around my mouth, I’m biting the bullet. The smell doesn’t linger for long, so that was helpful. If you are not sure about the smell, get a small bottle to try it out. At least for me, the benefits out win the smell issue for me. Funny that I’m not mentioning any stretch mark effect as pros or cons. I actually have developed some stretch marks on my lower back and my butt cheeks before using this product since the pregnancy, not on tummy yet. I don’t expect the product to get rid of the existing stretch marks or at least not in a short period of time. Maybe in a few months it’d get better over, and more important to me is for prevention of new stretch marks. ... show more

  • Love this product!
Size: 6.7 Fl Oz (Pack of 1) Pattern Name: Oil
I bought the smallest one initially just to see it, and noticed within a week that the stretch marks I’ve had for years were already starting to lighten. Not super insane but just barely. My mom used it as well for some skin irritation she had and as a side effect, it brightened her skin that darkened under the sun. She ended up buying the larger size bottle because of it since she loves the fact that it moisturizes her skin. I’ve tried a few other products for my stretch marks over the last decade but this is the only one I’ve seen results from within a month and feel good to say I’ll be buying another (but probably in the larger size now that I realize I’m not going to be testing it anymore). ... show more
