I have had a few curling irons over the years with different technologies, and this Bioionic is by far the best! I have thick hair and normally use the highest heat temperature available, but don’t need the highest heat with this curling iron. It heats quickly and is so easy to use. My hair is softer than before using it. Also my curls hold much longer than before. I posted photos to share that after two days, I still had a very decent curl! What I like: Longer barrel for hair 3 inches below shoulder Swivel cord Heats up quick No line from the clip handle I ordered this 1 in barrel curling iron because my hairdresser said it's one of the best out there.; no damaging to colored hair, multiple heat settings. Other Pros- Easy to use, and leaves my hair soft- no frizzles. I only need to keep it in my hair for a few seconds to set, so less exposure to heat. Cons- (if you can call it that) I have extremely fine hair, so it curls well but relaxes through the day. Solution: I ordered the .75 inch instead of the 1 inch and it works perfectly! My curls hold throughout the day and often last through brushing the next morning. (Curls will relax each time I brush but have stayed for up to 3 or 4 days, which is a big deal for such fine hair.) I also use Moroccan Oil, dry texture spray for hold. ... show more

Does the job! Really like this iron for alternating curls forward and backward. The ease of use of this iron is worth the cost alone. Never snags, doesn’t fry your hair. I have thick hair.. seriously a lot of it and using this curler saves so much time. I love the length of the barrel and the long clamp just makes it very user friendly. I’ve never had a curling iron with a barrel this long, and it makes such a difference. Best curling iron I've ever owned. This was recommended by my hairdresser, I'm so happy I listened. It took less time to curl hair on a lesser heat than my usual Iron. This curling iron is DEFINITELY worth the price. I bought it for my daughter for Christmas and find myself borrowing it almost daily now for my own hair. It consistently keeps temp by locking it so there is no accidental change and it holds curl for days. It am going to buy one for myself!
