I bought this for my 12 yr old son to go with his new Meta Quest 3. He's been using it for several months now. It is made well. Very little visible wear. It extends his battery life so he doesn't have to stop playing in the middle of a game he was enjoying. It's far more comfortable than the head staps that come with the Meta Quest 3. I really like that the battery is removable! Most of the time i use the headband on my quest 3 without the battery to save weight and only adding the battery if i need more time. I do not notice a buzz that others have mentioned. Head band adjusts quickly and easily. this is great for switching with others. Great replacement for the original band, in terms of convenience. An annoyance is that it likes to clamp up when handling. I have to undo/release each time i put it on. Another thing i noticed is there is a trick to charging both quest 3 and external battery; you must plug usb c to external battery and wait a few seconds before attaching battery to the quest. ... show more

This battery is great. Unlike most the other batteries, it charges the quest 3 properly. While using the quest 3, the internal quest 3 battery stays at 100%. On other batteries, the quest 3 slowly drains. The ability to hot swap this is great and the strap is comfortable. I highly recommend this. As far as battery buzzing, I have not heard any buzzing on any of the 3 batteries I got. I also bought the quest 2 version of this with the 2 spare batteries for a total of 3 batteries. The 3 batteries are all identical. Also, if you leave this attached to the quest 3 while not in use, you can plug the usb-c cable into the back of the battery and it charges both the battery and the quest 3 so you never have to remove the USB-C out of the side of the quest 3 again. ... show more

I usually play a few rounds of golf with the boys and the 1st time without it I could only play 1 round. with this plugged in my battery can go at least 3 probably 4 rounds. Huge lifesaver.     • Round locking mechanism stopped "locking" after a few weeks

Absolutely perfect elite strap replacement. The battery is magnetic, it lasts longer than the built-in battery, and is completely comfortable. My problem is that the round knob that "locks" the headstrap tight to your head steps "locking". When you turn it clockwise to tighten to your head, it just doesn't lock and the headset comes right off your head. I normally would chock this up to a random quality issue but I ordered a second one and the same problem occurred within 5 days of receiving it. Makes me think that these are not destined to last. The company themselves have (graciously) offered to replace the item but after buy two from Amazon, I'm not so confident anymore. If I do receive the replacement from the manufacturer and the locking mechanism does work correcty, I will update my review. However, receiving two brand new items and both not "locking" to my head and just letting go completely loose, doesn't give me much confidence. However, if I do receive one that has a locking mechanism that lasts, I will absolutely update this review. ... show more
