  • Must have for anyone with a turbo'd vehicle
I found that I had two vacuum leaks along my turbo inlet causing some inconstancies while tuning. My car feels so much smoother at mid-WOT now. Smoother than it's ever been. No amount of boost control can properly compensate for a vacuum leak. Do yourself a favor and get a leak tester before getting your car tuned. Don't be dumb like I was. ... show more

  • easily pinpointed my leaks
I had two leaks that i wasnt sure where they were of if i should use the dish soap method to find them. I'm not the best at these things, but this was easy to use. There's several different sizes or plugs, so this will be the only tool needed. These wil last a long time being that they arent made cheaply. ... show more

  • Excellent for Leak Testing Turbos or Intakes
As a professional automotive technician I am always looking for quality tools at reasonable prices. A tool set like this is not something I use everyday so I'm not interested in purchasing a name brand kit for 3 times the price. Every BILITOOL brand tools I've acquired has been top notch and these are no different. These will work well with the air regulator and gauge as intended but I use them primarily with my smoke machine instead. The assortment of diameters work great for air intake pipes / boots for finding intake leaks with smoke. The plugs are stepped in sizes and may be difficult to use on rigid plastic pipes but should be perfect for rubber ones. The set contains 2 sets of plugs. One set has quick connect fittings for the gauge hose and the other set is for plugging the other end of the system. The set is stored in a blow molded case with secure latches to keep everything organized. No tool is 100% universal and the usefulness of this tool may vary depending on your particular application. For my use, the price and the quality of this tool I give it 5 stars. ... show more

  • Great
I love tools like this that are simple and easy to use. It has an inlet and a plug for each size, and each size has 3 steps to accommodate different sized turbos. The instructions say to pressurize the turbo and then watch for a needle drop to indicate a leak. I've always found a little soapy water can help pinpoint the location. It comes with a regulator so you're not blowing out seals. The instructions say to keep the psi under 25, but it can vary depending on the model. It also has a valve, so you can isolate and watch for needle drops. The only thing that's odd is that the air coupler doesn't fit in the case while it's installed on the valve. You have to remove it each time. I can't help but feel like that could've been designed better. The tool does work though, so overall I'm happy with it. Recommended. ... show more

  • Handy to have
This kit is handy to have if you do automotive diagnostic work on intake/emissions or exhaust leaks. If you have a smoke generator you should have one of these.

  • Perfect for finding that boost leak!
The right tool for tracking down any little boost leaks after a new build or testing parts. The cups fit most any common boost hose/tube sizes and hold in place well. You can use it to test the entire cold side at one time by using it at the compressor housing outlet and the throttle body inlet. The included regulator lets you dial in the pressure you want to test the system to, and you can air up the whole system to full boost and let it sit, if its holding after a few minutes you have no leaks. I(f it does loose pressure then the easiest away to keep diagnosing is to remove one section at a time from the throttle body back until you find your leak. ... show more

  • Well made tester
These are well made, and don't feel cheap in any way. They work as advertised, and come with a handy case to keep them all in one place so as long as you know how to adult, they should last a really long time. My dad is a mechanic, and he was happy to give these a test run on my car. No complaints from the man. Definitely a good value in this price range. ... show more
