    • Great for lighter microphones, Pop filter not very stiff.
Overall this is a pretty decent tabletop mic stand. You may want to add some rubber or foam feet to the base, as vibrations can tend to travel up from the desk if it's kicked or something. My only two complaints really about this product are the fact that it's a bit top heavy, especially if using the off-the-side holder for a condenser mic as shown in the primary photo--make sure your mic is not so heavy it will topple over easily, as the base is just not quite wide enough to keep this from happening (luckily I caught it falling before switching microphones I had in it), and the fact that the pop filter is not very sturdy, and doesn't hold the shape you bend it to very well, so it tends to drift or migrate away from the mic head. But, if you're using a light dynamic mic or have another pop filter you can swap with the one that it comes with, This is a pretty good stand for the price. ... show more

This is what you get when you order this product, a good mic stand. The base has a good weight for my USB mic, everything fits well. The pop filter is somewhat tricky to get it to go where you want it to go, but after a few adjustments it stays in place and covers the mic. I had my old mic stand for several years but it finally broke so I decided to buy this one and it is definitely an upgrade! ... show more

    • Works but it is not great
I got this to hold a 2 pound condenser microphone. The stand locks in place and has smooth threads to spin the mic on. However the base is not heavy enough to support a microphone that has any weight to it. I used a pipe fitting to set on top of the base and it did the trick. Another cause of the instability could be that there are three "feet" on the bottom of the base, making the whole thing rather tippy. The manufacturer would have been much better off to have a full contact base to distribute the weight. As for the POP filter it works. I have not had any issues with plosives or sound quality using this. Again the build is on the cheap side and the spring coil can barely hold the weight of the filter. Be ready to do some studio engineering to get the filter to sit where it needs to be. This isn't the worst money I've spent and I was able to make everything work for me, but if you're looking for something that is "good to go" right out of the box, I'd look elsewhere. ... show more
