Awesome product and shipping. Arrived early

  • DO NOT BUY 429 Version
Style: Octopus Pro (F429 Chip)
Besides actually not being able to update via usb for klipper, if you manually update the firmware, there are still issues with the USB itself. Bought one could never connect it, bought the 446 version and have had zero issues.

  • Nice board.
Style: Octopus V1.1 Motherboard
I wanted to upgrade my 8 bit Anycubic Mega X board to a 32 bit board. I needed 5 motor drivers, but many of the boards only had room for 4. I considered the Spider but for about the same price decided on the Octopus. I was going to install Clipper so the added plus was that the BTT board had great documentation made it the logical. I paired the board with TMC2209 stepper drivers in uart mode and once wired up everything just works. Still have some tuning to do, but I am pleased with the way everything has worked out. ... show more

  • Fantastic
Style: Octopus + TMC2209*8
I was building a corexy zero g mercury out of an ender 5. This kit came with everything I would need to go farther, the ability to connect a adxl345 directly to the spi is nice. I am running it on klipper. Setup was a breeze. No defects or flaws, shipping was fast. Comes with jumper wires so you can setup sensorless homing. The community is massive as well. ... show more

  • The MOST DIFFICULT JUMPERS TO DEAL WITH EVER!!
Style: Octopus V1.1 Control Board
Changing stepper motor driver jumpers stinks! If you like to struggle, then this board is perfect. Otherwise this board has been the biggest pain regarding stepper jumpers. Each section has so many jumper leads , I would keep putting the jumper on lead below about a million times. And the jumpers they provide are crap and the the size of a molecule. Perhaps it is just me, but I never had to "struggle:" with jumpers before. But I am used to jumpers that are taller. The things disappear if you are unlucky enough to drop one, I dropped them at least a hundred times, sometimes using needle nose, or tweezers! Otherwise it is a good board. It is probably 3 just me struggling with the jumpers. I had to complain somewhere after spending an hour trying put a jumper on the top of 4, three stacks for each motor port. And dropping . ... show more

  • Amazing upgrade
Style: Octopus V1.1 Motherboard
The best upgrade I’ve made yet. I out this board in my ender 3 and it is wayyyyy over kill. Installation isn’t bad, but setting up the firmware is not beginner task, but is doable with patience. I found that configuring the firmware was a pain, because their is no config files for the ender 3, but uploading the firmware to the board was actually less difficult to do than with the creality boards. ... show more

  • 2 failures
Style: Octopus V1.1 Motherboard
This is the second board to fail, both failed in the same way: I would get things working, do some motion tests, then leave it idle for an hour or so. when I came back, all attempts at motion would result in a stuttering noise and a loss of communication with the drivers. I externally tested the drivers and they seem to still work. (I killed the first board attempting to diagnose the problem) ... show more

  • Still open ports for more stuff!
Style: Octopus + TMC2209*8
Used for a Voron 2.4 build... 4x Z motors, A & B (x/y) motors, plus the extruder and still have 1 stepper driver left free. 2 thermistors, 2 heaters, 3 endstops, probe, 5 fans, neo-pixel LEDs and still have lots of open ports to add more toys.
