Bought the double wide. Have been a hammock backpacker for many, many, many years. Recently, our 10yo wanted to try tent camping again. We still had our light weight tent, but had gotten rid of our single Big Agnes sleeping pads long ago because they were loud, slippery and narrow. Before I purchased this one, I bought and returned 6 others (ranging from singles with couplers to doubles), all were either too noisey, too slippery, and not wide enough, which were all the reasons we stopped tent camping. So, I ended up online again, reconsidering this brand. It was this one or spend upward of $300, which i did not want to do regardless of it being all season. I didnt want to drop that kind of cash on a mat we may only use a few times, should out daughter decide she prefers the hammock. Anyway, I decided to give it a shot. Slept on this last night in our backyard for dry run, temp down to 50, so not really cold, but I have to say besides a little bit of noise this thing gave me the best tent sleep I have had ever!! Better even than the hammock. I may again be a tent only backpacker. My only complaint, they should have made the stuff bag the inflater, seems a waste of weight to have to also bring along the inflat bag. I will probably end up leaving the stuff bag home, to make up for the weight of the inflation bag. I had a small camping trip where I decided I wanted to test out hammock camping for the first time. I ended up using this under me. Not the easiest thing to do to maneuver around in a hammock and try to lay perfectly where this thing wont shift around on you but you can get it done. I pair mine with Big Agnes 45 degree Lost Dog bag for summer/early fall camping. The pad attaches to my sleeping bag very easily and the result is sleeping comfort. This system is also great on hotel bedding as I don’t like sleeping in unfamiliar beds.
