Last week I bought these>>> SHARPIE S-Gel, Gel Pens, Medium Point (0.7mm), Black Ink Gel Pen, 12 Count<<< I figured Sharpie is a superior brand. Out of the first two, one would not write at all. And the second wrote intermittently. I immediately returned them. I then bought these --- BIC Round Stic Xtra Life Ballpoint Pen Medium Point (1.0mm) --- And they all write. The first time. All the time. Forget the propaganda for "modern" gel pens. These Bics are as clear and effective. ---The Bic ink comes out easy, bold, clear, no smudges. ---When you put the cap back on you are keeping out all air that will dry out the ink. Retractable pens all let in air, that dries up the ink. ---There is no tiny hole in these Bics that ye old Bic pens had. That hole let in air that would dry out the ink ... show more
