Description

Bialetti's Preziosa 8-Cup French Press provides the simplest method of making rich, traditional coffee. Made of 18/10 stainless steel and a 34 ounce glass cylinder, this French Press is made of the highest quality materials. The l'Omino (the little man) cutout is featured front and center on this French Press, and is widely recognized and Bialetti's original symbol of quality and authenticity. Allows coarse ground coffee and tea leaves to infuse completely in hot water to ensure optimal flavor and oil extraction. The stainless steel fine mesh plunger and filter prevents grounds from getting into your cup. The borosilicate glass beaker can be removed from the stainless steel frame for easy cleaning. The Preziosa French Press is dishwasher safe.

The glass pitcher arrived cracked at the bottom in a undamaged box - which Amazon promptly replaced free of charge without having to handle and return the broken glass. But I've noticed the overall quality is not that great and it has cheap components - I expected more at this price and an Italian brand name. For example; The glass seems quite thin and feels fragile (after all it came cracked), the cutout in the metal is not polished and has rough edges, the cover looks to be metal but it is plastic not stainless steel, overall it just has a cheap look/finish. The product is made in China not Italy like they used to - are some vendors selling fakes? Who knows. Will update with practical use review once I recieve the replacement. ... show more

It's mostly a good french press, nice looking, decently built. But the mesh filter on mine started to come apart after 3 months. Here it is now, after only 4 months of daily use. Why is the filter such crap? Why didn't they make a better one? Why didn't they include an extra one? I fear these questions will linger until my dying day. ... show more

The glass comes apart very easily from the outer shell especially when itโ€™s inverted to remove the grounds. My press came undone and hit the floor causing the glass to break in half.

I got a Bodum Chambord French press last year & the metal had begun to peel after only a few months. Disappointed!! I went straight to Bialetti & so very glad I did! This one immediately shows the better quality & workmanship. Its holds its heat very well & the press is so much smoother- with no grounds slipping through. (A problem I frequently had w Bodum) Itโ€™s worth the money for something that actually lasts. It would make a great gift... but this one is mine! ... show more

I bought this hoping I would achieve a richer cup of coffee than my Mr. Coffee drip style machine. I'm happy that it does just that! I can even use less coffee than I had to use in the Mr. Coffee machine. Course ground coffee is a better choice so that the grinds don't go through the press when pouring, although it hasn't been a big problem.
