I’ve been looking for a nice duffle coat for some time. What I have seen is often poor quality and craftsmanship and poorer materials. So I took a chance on Amazon and this duffle does NOT disappoint. The materials are quality. Luxurious wool, attention to details in the stitching, real leather. The sleeves are cut properly with plenty or room for it to be layer over a suit. The detachable hood is great. I cannot say enough good things about this jacket. Finding a well-made coat in extended sizes can be super difficult, especially if you (like me) have a strong preference for what style you want. This coat is beautiful. The quilted lining is very nice and soft. It came faster than expected. The reason I didn't give 5 stars is because they charge a full $100 more for the extended sizes which feels excessive. It's a substantial winter coat in the nautical style - which means the hood is big, it has toggle closures, it's navy, and it's warm. The craftsmanship is better than expected given the price point. Fit is good, but I'll say again - the hood is surprisingly large (I think the style was meant to fit over a naval cap). It's removable, though, so I just removed it. Pleased with the purchase.     • Nice jacket, but a few concerns
Size: Medium Color: Black
I purchased this jacket for my fiancé and he is a medium sized gentleman. His shirt size is medium and his waist is 32/33 inches. He is 6'2" and weighs somewhere around 165 lbs. He is lean and narrow. That being said, this coat fits him well & is pretty warm, though the sleeves are not as long or as giving as I would think they should be. When he lifts his arms up, the entire coat lifts all the way and I can almost see his stomach. When he puts his arms straight out, the sleeves do not reach his wrists. This is definitely a narrow fitting coat, so if you are a medium with broad shoulders, you might consider going up one size. He can wear a thick sweater under this jacket, and he said he still felt comfortable in the jacket. Also, the hood is relatively small on this jacket. If you like a spacious hood, you probably won't like the hood on this jacket unless you have an uncharacteristically small human head. My biggest concern with this jacket is that if he gains even a few pounds in his arms, chest or torso, I'm afraid this coat will be too tight. I love toggle coats. I've been wearing them for years. I've had loden and camel in the past, And until I bought this new, beautiful camel coat I had (and have) them in Navy and in Brown.
