Towel bar is not one piece as expected - it's a longer piece that screws into a shorter piece. (I suppose that's what makes it "expandable".) The joint can't be seen with a towel on it, but the pieces don't line up exactly with each other, so it does look a bit cheesy without a towel on it. Toilet paper holder is a tight fit, probably a little too tight, which makes replacing the roll a little fussy - and be sure you have the brackets lined up perfectly during installation. This may solve itself over time - we shall see. Installation can be tedious, but luckily I have a set of jeweler's screwdrivers that helped immensely. Some of the bar ends don't want to fit over the brackets as they should, which requires some innovation of some form or another to make them work. These are not the greatest, but overall, they are a much better "package deal" than the roughly $20 per piece ripoff the big box stores charge for bathroom hardware. ... show more

This set came packed very nicely. Everything in the box was protected. The set came with four copies of the exact same instruction templates. I only needed one to install all four pieces. The material of the hardware is solid. I didn't strip any screws during the installation and altogether the set took me probably 20 minutes to install. The finish on the hardware looks great and is just what I was looking for. As some people have said. The T.P. holder is a bit snug for Costco rolls of T.P. but it will work just fine in my opinion. The one down side is the Allen screws that screw the hardware to the mounts. These things are tiny and so close to the wall that it makes screwing these in a big chore for people with large hands. Aside from that it wasn't really too bad of an install and it gave our bathroom a great refresh! I would highly recommend this set to anyone looking to save some money on a very decent bathroom set. I didn't expect the toilet paper bar insert to be plastic. I purchased two different sets from two different manufacturers for their specific contents. The other manufacturer's set had a metal brushed nickel bar insert for virtually the same price.
