These are my new favorite thing in my house. They're so comfortable and come with so many different tips. They seem bulky, but they're actually so comfortable. They are way more comfortable than the Bose Sport earbuds I had. The noise cancellation is pretty amazing. As soon as you put them in, all the noises disappear. My boyfriend walked into my room and started talking to me, and I didn't even notice. He thought I was giving him the silent treatment. I legitimately didn't even hear him open the door and come in. i wanted technics az80s but the battery life on these are just too amazing and these are 100 dollars cheaper. i will say that they are leaning towards the bassy side but still clear/crisp enough highs for me...if you have an eq you can make adjustments too obviously. oh and these also have a sound profile that is customized to your ears. i think it made a difference! they are seriously powerful and again the battery lasts for 8 hours at 60% volume with noise cancelling on. if i turned that off completely they'd last even longer. the case charges them faster than i expected too. so while im sure i wouldve loved technics az80s i absolutely do not regret these. i got 2 pairs for 400. (the az80s are 300 for each pair..100 more expensive) ... show more

    • Nice sound, a little bass heavy, excellent battery life & connectivity so far
Pro: - Great sound quality, non-grating highs, non-tiring to listen to for long periods of time. - Comes with lots of tips (although I picked up a set of Comply foam anyway, as I prefer those) - Just works. No hassle with not connecting, losing connection or anything. - Comfortable in the ears and they just stay. Don't let the size fool you, they're very comfortable. - Battery life! Cons: - Bass heavy. Although the sound is great, they could be a bit leaner. - App should have user-controllable EQ curves. Overall good. I like them, I'm happy Beyerdynamic got into this game as well. Very easy listening, although a bit bass heavy, but the sound quality overall is good and premium. Maybe not for ultra-critical listening, but on the other hand, it doesn't have the grating quality that some other headphones have, which will bring out every bad thing of a recording in painful detail. The sound is detailed, but not brutally so. I hope that makes sense. :) ... show more

    • These earbuds make me sad.... [not really]
These make me sad because my previous favorite earbuds (Sennheiser CX Plus) are just not up to this level, and I think I might just have to give those away. 😜 I can't see ever going back to them when the Free Byrds are this good!! These are better in every way. It's not the clarity or detail, because the CX Plus are clear and detailed too. But I just don't have the audiophile vocab to explain. It's like the articulation of the music is just more "fun" and engaging. There's more "texture" to the music. I was trying to sample through one of my favorite playlists, and I kept getting lost in the music. The Free Byrds are definitely bigger (and maybe heavier?) than the CX Plus, but paradoxically they're more comfortable, and feel more secure in my ear. However, the case is lighter and more pocketable. These also have wireless charging, and they look cool (to me). What's not to love?? The ANC is serviceable, but I don't need that. And actually my family gets mad at me when I'm listening to music and they call me, and I just can't hear them at all. My house isn't loud enough to warrant blackout noise cancelling. So these are definitely sufficient and will be my go to earbuds at home. EDIT: After a firmware update, the ANC is noticeably better I'm so glad I picked these up!! I see how addicting it can be chasing that next level up in sound quality and features. But for now, I am more than satisfied. ... show more

Let me start this off by saying I do not care about true wireless features like ANC, microphone quality, or anything but comfort, sound quality, and battery life. I think these are by far the best true wireless earbuds I have ever heard. The bass is unbalievably crisp and punchy but not muddy. The highs are crisp and smooth. The battery life is unbelievable. They are very comfy, tons of bud tip options (including expandable foam thank god!!!) I have worn these for well over 10 hours in a day multiple times; I work an office job where I have earbuds in all day and I usually have buds in at home after work, I wear buds/headphones more than 99% of people and these are not fatiguing at all. I do have large ears though so the large profile of these buds does not bother me at all, something to consider though. These are not my workout buds, those are the Shockz open run pro, but these stay in my ear nicely. If you just care about sound quality these are the buds for you in this price range. They sound significantly better than my DT770 pros, which I think is very impressive for a true wireless earbud. I have always felt ANC to be a gimmic, these block most noise without ANC if you have the volume above 25%, ANC is totally not needed if headphones/earbuds are well designed to begin with.
