This is a super cute little fish tank , it literally comes with everything that ou need except for rocks, decor , water and the fish itself! easy to set up its all built in together and it comes with a bunch of filter media and everything to fill and plug making it super easy to use, the light changes to a variety of colors and this has worked super well , we just have one gold fish in it and it is very happy ! ... show more

I like the look of this tank, the one piece design, the rounded corners and all of the accessories hidden behind the back plate. The mini aquarium heater that I purchased separately fits nicely behind the plate and keeps my beta water at 80°. I do have two complaints, however. Firstly, the submersible water pump that was included with the tank is far too powerful for the 2 1/2 gallon water capacity. The pump worked at 90 gallons per minute and upset my beta since there was no calmer water even to the far end of the tank. It also pushed her up against the filtration grate. I had to unplug the water pump periodically so she could come out from hiding and eat. I bought a new submersible water pump that is much slower and it is working nicely. Secondly, I do not see a two layer filtration in the included batting as described in the product detail. ... show more

We have been wanting a small tank, so I was excited to get this. It's an excellent starter kit which includes the tank, media for the filtration and the built in the light. The lid not only keeps fish from jumping out, it helps slow water evaporation. You'll still need to top off, but not as often. The filtration is all in the back, behind black plastic, so it's not showing. There's a prefilter sponge and room for bio balls, which allow beneficial bacteria to grow which improves your water quality. There's also room for a small heater if needed. The light is built into the lid, so again, you can't see the wires, mounting, etc. It all makes for a very clean look. I decided to do a planted tank and after it's been running for a couple of weeks, I'll be adding a betta. I love the tank and our cat Jess approves as well. ... show more

Was really looking forward to this fish tank and bought based off reviews. I give it two stars as it was missing the filter foam. And looking over it I’m not sure where you would order the replacement round ball filters. Also, it puts out a lot of water and there’s no way to control the water flow for the filtration system and since I got this for a beta beta’s really don’t like a lot of water flow. ... show more

The tank itself is nice, easy to set up. However, the filter is way too strong for a Beta fish. As soon as I put my Beta in, he was stuck to the intake. I made some modifications to lessen the pull and push of the water but I would not recommend this tank for a Beta fish!

I am constantly struggling to clean my aquarium filters, and I was unsure if this would work. It was incredibly easy to put together, though, and it ended up working beautifully. It held 2 small fish without incident. I only wish it came with a heater (my old one did not fit) and extra round filtration balls.
