  • Worked Well
Size: Gimbal Bearing Puller 3
The puller worked flawlessly on pulling my gimbal bearing out of my OMC cobra. The alignment shaft worked well also but the drilling of the hole was a bit of a pain. I get why you have to drill your own hole because of it being a universal tool and is made for use on different systems. I used “O” rings on mine to assist me in locating the spot to drill my hole. I just put them on the shaft and pushed it into the coupler and the o rings slid up and gave me the location for the hole to be drilled. The alignment tool was a little big in diameter for my bearing so I took of .02 in my lathe. Overall a good purchase for the price. ... show more

  • Fit perfectly on a 91 alpha one gen 2 outdrive.
Size: Gimbal Bearing Puller 4
The bolt that came with it was to big to fit through the hole I drilled so I went and got a smaller bolt.

  • Needed to drill a whole in the alignment tool to accommodate the gimbal bearing tool.
Size: Gimbal Bearing Puller 4
Needed to drill a whole in the alignment tool to accommodate the gimbal bearing installation tool and the exhaust bellows tool would not clear the opening with the shift shaft installed. Had to resort to a more primitive method using tyraps to install the exhaust bellows. (Found on you tube)

Alignment bar, bearing driver are fine and do the trick. Bellows tools is piece of poorly made junk. Broke on the 2nd use. This set is probably fine for a one off job. Will likely get it done at a good price. Don't plan on the bellows tool at least being a long term addition to your toolbox.

  • Alignment tool didn’t fit the bearings as it should’ve
Size: Gimbal Bearing Puller 1
Used on a Merc and a OMC and the fit on the alignment bar was way to tight to slide in as designed and the bearing installer was had way too much gap around it then it should’ve . Had to pay a machine shop to get the alignment bar to work correctly, wasn’t way to far off, however I don’t think you could’ve hammered it though a bearing. Save you time and money and get a real kit and bar or gamble it with this. ... show more

  • Won't Work On OMC King Cobra Big Daddy Cone Clutch Outdrive
Size: Gimbal Bearing Puller 4
Everything looks good. Only issue & guess it was my fault, the plate was not big enough for my King Cobra Big Daddy Cone Clutch outdrive. Other than my mistake the tool looks heavy enough to do the job!

  • If your a professional don't buy if a dyi guy it works
Size: Gimbal Bearing Puller 3
Like the cost for a machined tool not the best I have used. There is a lot of load to pull bearing but I works, install was hard to keep bear centered to drive in a hole alignment rod helped to hold but thought it should have been done by mft.

  • Throw your slide hammer away and buy this today
Size: Gimbal Bearing Puller 3
This is the most efficient gimbal bearing removal/puller tool I have ever owned ! I was using a slide hammer with the jaws that grip onto the gimbal bearing and then you slide the hammer and try to bang out the bearing half the time the jaws would slip off the bearing and You would have to go at it for an hour before the gimbal bearing comes out or the jaws on the slide hammer would break.... this tool was a one and done removal I will never go back to the slide hammer way! This kit also comes with a nice heavy duty alignment tool that lets you know your gimbal bearing is aligned with the coupler on the fly wheel, And a gimbal bearing installment tool that slide right on to the alignment tool when you are ready to put the new gimbal bearing in and a gimbal bearing installment tool that slides right onto the alignment tool when you are ready to put the new gimbal bearing in five stars all day! ... show more
