  • Not the best!
Just like other reviews ( which I should ha e read) the install tool does require you to drill a hole for the correct installation for different boats. Also the install tool is too big for the bearing and requires it to be milled down.

  • Not the best. Go OEM
The removal part of this tool worked fine. The alignment shaft not so much. Its own mandrel didn't even fit. I had to remove some stock from the alignment tool and sand the inside of the mandrel for it to fit. Also I didn't realize you had to set the mandrel and drill a hole through the alignment tool. I wound up doing something else because I didn't want to chance putting the mandrel in the wrong spot. And finally, it came with no instructions. All of this I learned by researching online. ... show more

  • Returned
We had to return this, as it was the wrong size for our boat motor even though it said it would work.

  • bearing puller works great, the rest of it is junk
Bearing puller works great, (Watch out for metal shavings on the threads) bearing installer didn't fit the driver/ alignment tool,, alignment tool does not fit into the bearing making it useless If you were to turn the alignment tool on the lathe to make the driver fit on it, you would still have to drill a hole off center to attach it together. buy something different! ... show more

  • Hugely disappointing
Ive purchased so many thing from Amazon over the years - mostly all great. I dont leave reviews because I value my privacy. Im not a very active internet participant in social formus either. This product disappointed me so much I just couldnt resist leaving a bad review. It cant even be assembled. The threads just don't go together. The alignment tool might be good on its own if it actually fit a Mercruiser gimbal bearing. What a huge waste of time. I hope this review might prevent even a single additional sale of this product since the buyer is its a huge waste of time for all parties involved. Please stop selling this item immediately. ... show more

  • Do not buy!!
Tool did not work! Alignment tool is just a tiny bit too big in diameter, it fit through my new gimble bearing but became stuck and was a huge project to get free without causing damaged. Gimble bearing alignment tool needs a hole drilled through it for the installation puck to attach which isn’t indicated at all. Don’t waste your money, buy the same tool from a mercruiser dealer and save yourself a ton of headache. ... show more

  • Do Not Waste Your Money On This Chinese Junk!
It will not screw into itself. It takes a 48 inch crescent wrench to make it move half a thread. The alignment bar got stuck in my new gimble bearing and now having to figure out how to pull it out. This product should be removed off the market. I will never buy a cheap tool like this again. I’ve been in the marine industry for 23 years. ... show more

  • Not made correct
Very disappointed. Diamiters were not right. Luckily I am a machinists and was able to fix. Can't align motor if the diameter of the tool is .004 is bigger than the diameter of the bearing. Waste of money and time
