Description

From the Manufacturer The new K Body REVO clamp range from BESSEY offers some 30-Percent more clamping force, and newly-designed pressure caps and work- piece contact elements also protect the work-piece exceptionally well. The Vario K Body REVO clamp enables the head to be adjusted at the press of a button. The new K Body REVO clamp from BESSEY achieves a powerful 7,000 N clamping force - some 2,000 N more than usual. In addition, the jaw face has been increased by 30-Percent. Three removable and glue-repellent pressure caps guarantee work piece protection. Adjustable work piece contact elements prevent direct contact between the work piece and the serrated steel rail under full utilization of the jaw face. The tilting K Body clamp adapter (available separately) KR-AS which is easily pushed on to the clamping jaws enables clamping requirements outside of the 90-Degree range to be fulfilled. The tilting adapter adjusts to the work piece, regardless of whether fitted in a v-shape or at a slanted parallel. The additional module is infinitely tilt- able within a range of 30-Degree. 24-Inch K Body REVO, 1,500-Pound clamping force, 3-3/4-Inch Throat depth, 3 removable jaw pads, 2 component ergonomic handle, removable material protector pads, removable end stop, can be attached to a work bench using Bessey TK-6 clamps

  • Great clamps.
I used these clamps initially to build three chess boards from scratch. These boards are made of individually cut squares of stained mahogany and black cherry. Each one of them is chamfered on eight sides, an one quarter inche holes are drilled into each one; two on the corners, three on the remaining edge pieces and four on the rest. The holes accept quarter inch by one inch dowels, each glued in. I used these clamps, along with a cut half inch board on the sides to squeeze these boards together. They were amazing and the boards came out perfectly. ... show more

  • Improved Bessey clamp
I purchased this unit because my old Bessey K body, which is 8 years old is not working very well. It maintains its shape well but rail is almost destroyed by Titebond and grip does not clamping well. New model has improved grip and rail, and jaws are parallel most of time. Pros: - very powerful clamping power - jaws maintain parallel top and bottom most of time - plastic rail protection piece is very useful for holding work piece and protecting from dropping glue. Cons - grip turns but often does not clamp when clamp body is in reverse, side, or vertical position - somewhat heavy, especially holding two or longer one. - when Titebond is dried on the rail, it's very difficult to scrape out. - when clamping 2" stock, often I noticed pressure difference on top and bottom - had to use shims to avoid gaps. - package is terrible. It's not protected enough, so jaw part is partially broken. I fixed two broken parts using crazy glue instead of taking hassles of return. * Overall, Bessey's K-Body clamp is very good tool and essential for woodworking. However, there's still something to be desired. ... show more

  • Nothing like it! (besides the Jet's)
I was a little concerned about ordering these over the internet after reading other reviews and even seeing some of them in a local big box store, but I believe that Amazon and Bessey have listened to the feedback here and other places and I received both clamps, in a double-boxed package without a dent or damage to the clamps. Now, this review is really about the clamps so let me start by saying I have just started getting back into woodworking after doing some as a teenager and young adult (back when pretty much all middle and high schools taught shop classes). I stopped a while ago and just started watching podcasts and reading blogs. These are not your father's clamps! They are extremely stable, very powerful and worth every penny! :) I especially appreciate the positive feedback on the clamping pressure. You can feel it get tighter as it clamps, but you always feel like you could clamp it a little tighter if you needed to, even when you have pulled everything nice and tight. I will be buying these again in various lengths (I have the 24" and 50" now) as you can never have enough clamps! ... show more

  • The ultimate clamp
As an experienced amateur furniture maker, I used pipe clamps for 30 years. I had been looking at these clamps for a number of years and read some glowing reviews, but I just couldn't convince myself that they could possibly be so much better than my trusty old pipe clamps that it could justify the extra cost. I finally bought my first pair about six months ago, and was so impressed that I now have ten of them hanging on my shop wall where my pipe clamps USED to sit. They are incredibly solid, well designed and well built. Their parallel action make furniture and table top glue-ups much easier, and they can't be beat for panel assembly - especially when used with a set of 4 KP blocks. If you are considering purchasing some - do yourself a favor and get them. You won't be sorry. ... show more

  • Parallel clamps make panel glue ups easier and better.
The jaws are indeed parallel. The clamping mechanism is sometimes annoying - getting the clamp to "lock" into position so that the screw will apply pressure. (this is the second set I've purchased - a little fumbling to get the clamp to apply pressure doesn't change the fact that the clamp does its job well) ... show more

  • ... to buy many more because of how much I love using these clamps
I've only bought two-- I need to buy many more because of how much I love using these clamps. All parts move easily and function as they are supposed to. Applying extreme amounts of clamping force can be done with very little effort all while the parallel jaws stay parallel. Unlike lighter K-clamp style clamps, the bar will not bend as you apply more pressure. My only complaint (and it's to be expected) is that these clamps are quite heavy. After using these clamps to glue up a panel it can be difficult to move the whole assembly off the work bench to make room to work on something else. ... show more

  • Quality Product
I already own a pair of the 12" and needed the 24" for a larger project. I am very satisfied quality and function of these clamps.
