  • This thing is great!
Color: Purple
I'm really impressed. Over all size is smaller than I expected but plenty big enough for a full size lunch. My first words were, "Oh is is really cute!" Not that it matters, but I love the way it all fits together. No, it's not leak proof but I don't see that as a problem. I have a good size lunch bag and this will fit great. I also love the utensil kit that it comes with. No longer forgetting to pack a fork. ... show more

  • Excellent Bento Box
Color: Gray
I initially bought one for my husband to try out. I was slightly skeptical because the shape looked a bit awkward in the video, larger than what I thought I wanted. Since I like to pack big lunches for my husband, I figured it wouldn't hurt to try it out. Just after a few weeks of using it, I had to go and buy my own. I loved it that much. Some of my favorite features are: - It packs compactly in the cupboard. The smaller container fits snugly inside the larger one and the lids all snap together. - The box is usable even if you only use the larger bottom one. The band fits well enough that the top won't go flying off. I've never attempted to use the smaller divided box by itself, but I would think the band would be a little too loose. - It microwaves well if you follow the instructions and don't put the lids in the microwave. I haven't noticed any warps from reheating. - It cleans up well in the dishwasher. I put the top lids on the top rack and the bottoms sometimes go in the lower rack and we haven't noticed any changes between how the lids fit afterwards. - The utensils are pretty handy! This was a suprise to me. They're made of sturdy plastic and don't bend when you're cutting up something for lunch. - It fits a good amount of food, plenty for an entire workday. If I'm using both boxes, I like to pack my breakfast in the smaller top box and my lunch in the bottom box. I'm definitely stuffed afterwards. - The pieces are color coordinated. I like how I know which box has which lid because the logo is colored. Just a cute touch since all the pieces are interchangeable regardless of color. A few noticeable cons: - The lids don't snap shut and you MUST use the belly band to hold it all together. To me, this isn't a dealbreaker. An older box I had from a different manufacturer had snaps on the sides which actually broke apart after just a few months of use. There was no easy way of securing it after that. This box holds snugly with the band so I'm not too concerned. Just don't go tipping it all over the place. - It's not liquid safe. I wouldn't use this for any foods that are liquidy like stews or pastas. The bottom box may be slightly more liquid tight, but I wouldn't risk it. - The bottom box can be scratched if you use the included knife utensil. Again, not a dealbreaker since no plastic is completely impervious. It had small scratches, not huge gouges after using the knife. I'm just a little more careful now. Overall, my husband and I both love it. The price is perfect for the quality and I'm thinking of gifting these to some friends and family members looking to start packing lunches for work. ... show more

  • Adorable Bento Boxes
Color: Blue
These bento boxes were kind of a impulse buy. I was looking for a good way to reduce portion sizes when bringing my lunch to work. Found these and went for it. Bought one for myself and for my fiance. They are honestly the perfect size (for us). I enjoy their compact nature and honestly they are really fun to use. I wish they came with a carrying bag which I would have added extra value. The utensils are not bad. Nice hard plastics, though the fork is a little blunt for sticking pieces of food. I prefer using my collapsible chop sticks instead but the spoon and knife both work well. Overall very nice and also very easy to clean. So far have only packed two meals in them. We'll see how they hold up in another month or two. Would recommend. ... show more

  • A sleek, expertly designed lunch box that allows you to bring a whole meal!
Color: Blue
On instagram, there are always a bunch of photos of food in bento boxes, and I got really jealous of the way people could put such a variety of foods in their bento boxes. Every Monday and Wednesday I bring a lunch box to school, and inside the lunchbox, I have some flimsy (probably harmful to my health) tuperware full of the food I brought for lunch. And if I wanted to bring chips, which I haven't been doing lately because I don't like to waste bags, I would have to bring it inside a bag. So I thought it'd be cool if I could find a cool bento box to bring my food in. And through Amazon, my favorite site for shopping, I found the Bentgo lunchbox! The reviews were extremely favorable towards the box, and it makes a lot of sense. The Bentgo lunch box has a very sleek design, which I love—the designer really thought out each aspect of the lunchbox. It's designed in a way that allows you to not only bring a main dish but also two sides or even a side and some dip. This is possible because the lunchbox is made out of two containers: one larger bottom container and one smaller container with a divider. The two containers are held together by a strap (what a great idea). This is great because it saves you from bringing too many separate containers and/or baggies. The fabulous design also allows me to bring reusable utensils (that were included in the package), so I would stop wasting plastic utensils from my school—what another great idea. I've only used the Bentgo lunchbox twice so far, but I'm already really glad I got it. My first lunch consisted of ramen noodles (and, admittedly, my second lunch consisted of ramen noodles) in the big bottom container and hummus and chips in the top container. Usually, before the Bentgo box, I would just bring ramen noodles to school, but because of the awesome divider in the top container, I was able to bring a snack in the top. All the exciting possibilities of stuff that I can bring in the top container along with my main meal in the bottom container is awesome! The idea of bringing fruits, vegetables, or chips in the top without having to baggie it up is awesome. The only thing is that because the top is smaller I wasn't able to bring as many tortilla chips as I wanted to, but it does hold a lot of dip. Now, as I said above, I had brought ramen noodles to school. I filled up the Bentgo with water at school, and then I microwaved it there. From that point, I closed everything up and brought it to a different building on my campus. When I opened up everything, there was absolutely no leaks. This is great because it shows how tight everything is sealed. The nylon strap really does a great job. It's obvious to see that each aspect of the Bentgo box was well designed. Really, I see myself using the Bentgo box a lot in my next two years as a college student. I love how the box is BPA free and how sturdy the box is, and I love how I won't be wasting plastic baggies carrying food. I would wholeheartedly recommend the Bentgo box to my friends because this easily beats bringing food in flimsy tupperware. So if you find yourself in need of a new lunchbox like I did, I don't think you could really go wrong with the Bentgo lunch box. ... show more
