I feel I need to write this because I can't be the only person looking for a king frame that will work for this purpose. My husband and I have very different support needs so I bought 2 twin XL mattresses. (keep in mind that you need 2 twin XL mattresses to make a king size bed, not traditional twin) I have searched forever to find a platform bed with a ledge on the sides. The slight ledge keeps the mattresses from separating. Took me 4 hours ( alone) to assemble. Very clear instructions. I would love a solid walnut king bed frame.
