The only strainer that I had was in the 3-inch range, and often this size was not large enough for me to complete a task without emptying what I had managed to wash or drain and then repeat the process. Wanting to make this chore simpler, I chose the Bellemain Fine Mesh Strainer Basket in the hope these three sizes would let me accomplish what I want drained or washed all at once. I immediately used the 5.5” strainer on the day it was received, and it worked perfectly for the task that I wanted done. Since then, I have used this size every few days for either straining or rinsing, as it holds everything at one time, making it much quicker to move on to the next step. The 3.4” size comes in handy for smaller jobs, while the 7.5” strainer is useful when I have a big cooking task to do. These three strainers are definitely very well-made plus durable, and they keep their shape with no denting in. The stainless-steel mesh keeps any food particles from escaping, just the liquid. I particularly like the way in which the handle is made, as it is easy to hold and does not get hot like those strainers whose handles are only metal. These are very high quality and just what I was searching for. The handle stays put when I have it over a bowl. I love that. The mesh is neither too big or too small, so powdered sugar, flour, and seeded juices, sauces flow through perfectly without clogging.     • Seller Stands Behind their Strainers
When I received my set of three strainers, I found that the largest one had a manufacturing defect. On contacting the seller with a photo of the defect, the seller's quick response was to send me another complete set of strainers. The replacements were free of any defects. Now I have five good strainers. In my opinion the three sizes of strainers in this set are ideal for our varied kitchen needs. All have a mesh that is fine enough to remove tea leaves from tea or coarse grounds from coffee. The handles of the two largest strainers in this set are riveted to the strainer frames. One of the biggest complaints from Amazon reviewers of OTHER strainer brands is that their spot-welded handles break off. The riveted handles on the two largest strainers in this set appear to be extremely secure, so I am expecting a long life from them. After receiving these strainers I first washed them in our dishwasher. They proved to be dishwasher safe and easy to clean that way. Compared with other strainers that I've shopped in stores and on Amazon, these appear to be good, useful, durable additions to our kitchen at a fair price, sold by a vendor that provided me with good customer service. ... show more

I bought these because I wanted to drain pasta with the two larger ones. The medium one is smaller than I thought and couldn't strain a whole box of mac n cheese. If you're looking for larger things to strain you're better off buying individual ones that are bigger. But for baking and straining smaller things, these work great. Super sturdy and soft handles make them 10/10 in my book. I just wish the medium one was larger. ... show more

Use it for sifting flour, confectioners sugar, etc. Got rid of my sifter a while ago. This is so easy to clean. Nice heft to it.

These strainers are the perfect sizes. If your making pasta for one, the large stariner accommodates nicely. They also have a sturdy construction.
