Description

From the roughest singletrack to urban blacktop, the MX-9 Adventure MIPS gets you there safely in style. We’ve taken our MX-9 and added even more capability with an integrated no-fog, no-scratch shield. The shield flips up and leaves enough room for goggles in extreme conditions, or it can be removed completely. Conversely, the adjustable visor can be removed for a stealth street look. MIPS protection, Velocity Flow ventilation, and a removable liner round out a highly adaptable package. Helmet ships with clear shield. NOT Tinted. DOT approved. Meets the FMVSS 218 Standard.

  • Tough to beat
Color: Gloss White Size: Large
The media could not be loaded. Let me preface this with, I tried on 4-5 of the top rated helmets side by side with the Bell MX9 Adv, including the Klim Krios Pro, Shoei Hornet X2, and Arai XD4. The Arai and Klim were the first to go, due to their overall fit and function along with the price tag. Hard to justify 2-3x the cost of the bell when they aren’t even as comfortable out of the box. I quickly narrowed it down to the Shoei Hornet X2 and the Bell MX9. They fit very similarly, with the Shoei edging it out with its overall craftsmanship and quality. It truly is a work of art - but it also exceeded my needs for a dual sport helmet. For twice the cost, I made the tough decision to send it back. The bell shared so many features in terms of fit, comfort, and safety that based on craftsmanship alone, it was tough to spend the extra money. I don’t do a lot of road miles except to connect trails, and get from a to b. If I did longer highway miles, I definitely would have gone with the SNELL rated Shoei. However, the MIPS system is a great feature, and the MX9 is comfortable on the road and on the trail. I really appreciate the adaptability of a comms system like my Cardo Black. The cheek pads have integrated pouches for the headphone pieces, while the breath box leaves ample room for the microphone. The lining is super plush and comfortable, and proves to be a bit warm on longer rides, but cracking the shield every now and then helps dump the heat. The ventilation is good, albeit not as good as the other 3 helmets I listed above. The visor does catch a draft, but every helmet with a visor will. On trips where I’m spending minimal amounts of time on pavement I have a full MX helmet on, so I’m used to this and it doesn’t bother me. Overall this helmet is the best bang for the buck you can find. The additional face shields available are a great bonus. I have both the gold iridium (pictured) and dark smoke. Would suggest without hesitation to anybody looking for a solid dual sport helmet that checks all the boxes. ... show more

  • beautiful helmet, well made nice features
First, this helmet included the clear shield and the dark shield as well. That's a $50 dollar value. It weighs 3lbs 12.5 oz. Not light nor heavy. My head measures exactly 23 and 1/2 inches at it's widest ( just above my eyebrows). The fit is very good, a little more than snug but it's new. The cheek pads are too thick and press too hard on my face, but this might change once broken in. There is no way to adjust that nor get access to to the foam within the fabric. But it's not uncomfortable. I'm sure it will loosen up a bit over time. It's vented across the top of the inside and it works to keep your head cooler. There is a vent in the cross bar and it can be closed with a sliding tab on the front. At speed you can turn your head and the wind does not grab the helmet very much. Also the visor does not catch the wind unless you tilt the helmet up some. Overall it's very nice and I would buy this again. ... show more

  • Major Upgrade in Safety
Color: Marauder Matte/Gloss Black Size: Small
No picture needed. It is a pristine as the picture. Here ya GO! I like the MIPS. The helmet fits very well, true to size from the many helmets I have had over the years. Measure your head. Unlike an ego, it is actually smaller than you believe. The helmet itself has great field of vision. Both flip down visors are crystal clear, optical quality, and the tinted is almost enough to keep my regular glasses from tinting in full sun. I would not recommend at night, but you be you. Padding is snug and comfortable. Replaceable cheek pads in multiple sizes are available for a custom fit. There is a bit of road noise. Using it on the slab is not ideal, but it works. Riding a motorcycle is just what it is, and without a little noise, then you are just VR on the couch. I believe most of the wind noise is due to the cooling channels. On that, it is 114 real feel today. My Jacket and body are hotter than my head. I believe Bell did a great job in the design, fit and finish. Safety is the priority. This helmet is many levels above two others used for this type of riding. I will not give names in order to remain uncensored by the big box boys. Adventure is exactly that. Protect your head and NECK. Ribs and Arms are up to you. ... show more

  • Great helmet
I have to say that I am satisfied with this helmet. I use it mostly for highway commuting and I removed the visor so that turning your head over 40 mph wasn't a challenge. The visor is great trail riding and traveling under 40 mph around town. It came with a clear and a dark tinted lens also which was a plus. After the first 1st hour of use the helmet seemed to fit better and I am pleased with how it feels now after several trips. Granted the first minute of use wasn't an issue it just has seemed to form to my head after a couple uses. The weight is not a problem as I have had other helmets in the past that weighed a ton after a few hours on the trails. I was skeptical about buying a helmet online as I like to see and feel what I am putting on my head but I am very pleased with this helmet. You will be glad you bought one for yourself. ... show more

  • Vibrant Colors
Color: Dash Hi-Viz Yellow/Gray Size: Medium
I was very impressed with the color, fit and quality of this helmet. I have always worn a medium in a Shoei helmet and the medium fit me perfect in this helmet. The vents are nice but a little noisy compared to the higher end helmets. Overall, a great value for a helmet that will let you be seen. Visor fits snugly and is super easy to swap out which I did for a tinted one. ... show more

  • Great dual sport helmet
Color: Stealth Camo Matte Black/Hi-Viz Size: Large
This helmet is great! Give it a few rides to loosen up on you but once it breaks it it’s one of the best helmets I’ve used sofar. It’s definitely the best for the price! Highly recommend this product if you’ll be using it for dual sport

  • Nice helmet but!
Color: Dash Hi-Viz Yellow/Gray Size: Medium
The seller did not disclose that it was a previous model with the old ece22.5 rating and the slider to operate the chin vent was broken and fell off when I took the helmet out of the box
