I'm a trackday instructor so I practically wear my helmet all day while hopping in and out of cars. A lot of friends and fellow instructors have asked me if the carbon is worth the price and I always say YES. The helmet really is that much lighter, so less weight on your neck all day and less aches in your neck and shoulders. Yes, they're expensive, but when you factor in you'll probably be using the same helmet for 5+ seasons, 8 events a season, it's to protect your HEAD, it's worth it to spend a little more on a nice, lightweight helmet.
