This hair straightener and curler has a nice build quality and looks premium. It's portable and has an ergonomic design. It's light weight compared to other similar products and is easy to maneuver. This hair straightener heats up very fast and the temperature control is also easy. The design makes it easy to style all types of hair. It's most suitable for straightening but with some practice its also makes curl and other styling easy. The 360 power cord helps to move and rotate this without tangling the power cord. When this heats up you can hear the sound of fan regulating the hot hair. Not sure if this really helps but it works faster and gives good result. This is a good idea for the intended purpose of cooling the hair as you are curling or straightening the hair. A lot of the time, you lose curl once you remove the iron and as the hair is cooling. These fans help to retain your curl (or smoothing), using the fans inside the unit. Also it was nice to be able to drop my bangs onto my forehead and they did not feel too hot. The rose-gold color is also pretty, and if you prefer rose-gold in your vanity area, this is a great option. I like that the controls are on the end, as many times I straighten my hair and end up hitting the temperature control, and it's either too hot or too cool. The shorter thumb control to open and close the plates is also a good feature to help keep from tangling into your hair as you use it. I did have a bit of trouble adjusting to the size, because it is smaller, and also the plates did not open as wide as my usual flat iron, but that's just a personal use adjustment. This came in a nice gold box, shrink wrapped, and would make an excellent anytime gift for your friend or family member. It arrived quickly and is accurately described by the seller, and comes with a two-year warranty and a 9- day return policy. ... show more

Not only does this work fantastically as a flat iron, but the addition of the fan which cools your hair is what really makes it work as a curling iron as well. I have very fine hair, very straight hair that is resistant to curl, but for some reason this tool has been able to do what no other tool has. I really wanted to love this flat iron, but I simply don't It seems like it is trying to fix something that isn't broken. It is loud, cumbersome to use, and doesn't make styling my hair any quicker or easier. If anything, it's worse. The volume issue comes from the cooling function on the outside "barrel" of the curling iron, which I found to be a little useless. On using it for the first time, it did give off a very alarming burning smell. This wore off with time, and I have heard that it was potentially a protective coating burning off of the heat plates.
