I'm 5'6" and 210 pounds. The XL fits great. Pretty long in the waist which I like. Waist has very strong elastic. The material is very breathable and the round hat keeps the veil away from my face. The zippers seem good. I've used it once so far, but I can't see how it would not perform.

I can't agree with some saying way too small. I wear a large shirt, and ordered a XL in this as described, I can say that it fits me just fine. You are not supposed to try and fit 2 people in them at the same time, and this gives just enough room not to get stung (kind of the point). The measurements in the description seem to be off as far as fit. My chest is about 46" and I am 6'1" tall and the xl fits right. Pockets are great, zippers are great that overlap to ensure no entry, but would be good if they had rings for easier grip, but they feel like good quality especially for the price. Seems well made. This type of ventilated material is much cooler than the cotton canvas ones.Skip those and buy this. On a hot day you will be glad you did.

Just started keeping bees last year so not knowing what I know now, I initially bought a full cloth suit. I assumed I'd eventually buy a vented one but went the less expensive route initially. The full suit worked well (preventing sticks) but my Lord it's hot. I dealt with it last year but this year I felt more comfortable to (1) invest in something well vented and (2) opt for less body coverage - i.e. only a jacket. Overall, I'm happy with the quality of the jacket. I bought an XL (I'm 6'1" at 200 lbs) and it fits well. The waist and wrist elastic is tight but doesn't restrict movement. The hood is decent. I do with the actual top of the hood (cap/elastic portion) was a bit "deeper" on my head. It almost feels like it's just resting on top of my head like a yamaka instead of being more secure like a baseball cap would feel. So occasionally, I have to pull the hood down on top of my head because it shifts. It's annoying. My biggest complaint are the zippers. They hold well once zipped but they are metal and the teeth are not "smooth". They can be tough to zip up. About every 3 inches it will catch. I almost always have to fiddle with them to get them to fully zip (both the front and the hood). They are far from smooth in operation. My other suit has high quality plastic zippers which are MUCH better. But still, once it's on, it works well and is comfortable. It still gets warm after working several hives in the sun but overall it's night and day above the full suit I have and I'm glad I purchased it. I almost always do my inspections now in shorts and this jacket. My bees are calm... for the most part. And I've had no stings with the jacket. Would be 5 start if the hood was a little more snug and the zippers were improved. ... show more

Ordered large jacket based on measurements listed. I think the large said it would handle a 51" chest. Should have ordered next size up. Length of coat and sleeves were spot on, but waist and chest are a bit snug.

I bought this because I'm a short person and every jacket and/or pants I've purchased run large making for too much bulk when working around bees. This jacket fits perfectly. The wristband is snug and leaves marks on my wrists but they're not cutting off circulation. This zippers aren't super smooth, particularly around the veil and I'm not sure what the purpose of the collar but overall recommend this jacket. It's lightweight and breathable. ... show more

After one brief bee session the top mesh already has several holes and a bee got in and stung my neck. I highly recommend you look somewhere else for a quality suit. I wanted so much to like this expensive jacket.
