  • Very informative
Alot of great information

  • Beekeeping Bible
This book has everything you need to start as a hobbyist beekeeper. The only other thing I would recommend is to join your local beekeeper club. If you don’t know if there is one near you, reach out to your county extension office and they can help you out!

  • Best Available
Provides an excellent in-depth information of what the new beekeeper needs to know. Best of what I have read so far.

  • Great book
I loved this book. I read it pretty quickly and found it very interesting and helpful. Book has a lot of great content and covers a lot of information. If you want bees I would highly recommend this book!

  • Great for the basics, but dated material on varroa mites
The book is a good collection of the basic practices of beekeeping and interesting to read through. The information on varroa mites is overdue for an update. Varroa mite management is no longer a question....ALL Beekeepers in US will manage varroa mites or suffer the consequences. They are also missing one of the best field research sites in the world, Randy Oliver s scientificbeekeeping.com. That site is a must-visit for the latest on IPM (integrated pest management), substitute pollen feeding and many myth-busting insights. ... show more

  • It's in the title!
I'm definitely a dummy sometimes & these guided always help! In my opinion it sums it up, simplifies it & delivers the ideas plain & simple. I don't care to read numerous books on 1 topic when there's a simplified answer it. Save time. Time is 1 thing you can never get back.
