We went with these lamps because the price was great, and the ones we had were too big for our bedroom. These fit our little night stands perfectly. We just leave the switch on all the time and use the pully. We absolutely loves these lamps because the size, ease, and extra plug in it provides for things like my watch (the cord is so short I was having to set it on the ground to charge it) but not anymore! In fact, we love these so much, I'm getting the same lamp for my son's room. He says they're "futuristic" which really just means modern. You wouldn't think they're very bright the way they take pictures, butthey light up my entire room. 5 stars all the way!!! ... show more

It would be easier if on/off switch was closer to the lamp itself, its low within the cord itself so you have to pick-up the cable every time you want to turn it on/off. I glued it to the side of the lamp so that I don’t have to reach down every time to turn it off.

I mean it’s a lamp, not a tire iron so obviously it’s lightweight. However, I will say that any jerking movement makes this lamp make giant leaps across my headboard. This is kind of annoying being as though I use both ports for charging my watch and my phone. If i’m using my phone and turning around then the lamp will inevitably be shifted. I also yanked it hard enough to fall on the bed once and this has created a dent in the lamp shade that can’t be fixed so now I have to hide it. This was a great price for a really cute bedside lamp. Only problem is that it would not work. Upon receiving you could tell the little “pull chain” didn’t seem to be working properly after a few gentle tugs it was making the “clicking noise “ one would expect, while turning it on & off. The only problem is the it didn’t work. We tried various outlets, different bulbs but it never worked. So we will return it! I had gotten a good deal on it but was bummed in the end! I purchased this product several months ago… After only a couple of months it had a short in it and does not work properly. If I shake the cord it flickers on and off but the lamp will not stay on:( it’s unfortunate because it is a very cute lamp and it is a nice bonus to have the plugs in the base. I went back in my orders to try to contact the company but could not find how to contact them. Hopefully somebody will respond? UPDATE!!!!!!! The company reached out to me after I posted this review. They were very helpful in rectifying the problem I had with the lamp... I certainly appreciate a company that stands beside their product and offers great customer service. This was a great lamp, pretty easy to put together, outlets work great, very bright etc. However, it has officially lost all power to it and no longer works. I'm very disappointed. I can get a lamp at walmart for cheaper and it would last longer then what I paid for this. However, I was using Amazon for better products and convenience. No longer happy with it ... show more
