I have had stylists refer to my hair as “angel spun” it’s literally silk. It is very hard to work with and any type of curling iron I would use the curls fell out immediately. I have a larger straightener that I was using, but the curls were still falling out. This pic is day 2 of the style. Don’t use a lot of product in your hair, use some argan oil before so the tool is easier on your hair. This has been perfect for my wispy thin hair. I really like this straightener. It is a good size for my pixie cut, and it's lightweight. It does FEEL a little cheap, but I've been using it for a few months now and it's still working well. I can't really speak on true durability because I have yet to drop it (surprisingly), but I do think it would not last several hits to a hard surface. I do really appreciate the auto shut-off feature. I have admittedly accidentally left the straightener on once and it shut off. As far as it's capabilities, it's done a decent job on my extremely short hair. You can adjust the heat to your needs. Heats up quick. Does not burn me. I have natural curly gray pixie cut. Most straighteners are too big for my cut or make my hair look dry and frizzy. Not this thing. I love it to straighten or put some additional curl. Highly recommend

While I like this straightener overall, it is disappointing that the finish starting peeling and scratching off within the first couple of weeks. Of course it is still usable, but it already looks like I've had it for quite some time and I certainly haven't been rough with it. It will sometimes snag on my hair at the ends as well, which could damage hair if not careful. I would definitely advise using a heat protector or an ends protector on your hair before using it. The size is great with my pixie cut and the fact that I can curl with it is a plus. It heats up quickly and I like the swivel cord. Im on the fence if I would buy again or not. ... show more

I bought this long ago when I decided to cut my hair short. It's the best decision I've ever made. I looked at some of the negative reviews, and most of them were about how the straightener only touches at the tip. I had never had any problems, so I went to go and check. Yes, if you clamp down with feather-like pressure, then only the tip touches each other, but as soon as you apply pressure, the whole thing touches itself. I've never had a problem. It heats up incredibly fast, so you don't have to wait long to fix your hair. It's super easy to travel with because it's so small, and I take it with me everywhere.
