  • Leaked the first time I applied pressure
I purchased a bunch of parts to rebuild my manual E83 X3, installed this slave cylinder after everything was up and bolted and it starts leaking from the rod seal and no pressure.

  • Worked and looks just like the OEM one!
High quality part. Went in like a charm. Connected to the hydraulic line with no leaks or issues. Bled the system and was back on the road in a couple of hours.

  • Premature failure
The slave cylinder failed me while I was driving almost caused me my life by not being able to get in gear in the middle of a intersection. It was working perfectly for about 30 days. And now it’s out of warranty after 60 days.

  • Worked out well for me
It worked as well as the original in my opinion.

  • Poor Quality
Save yourself a ton of frustration and buy the OEM part. Beck/Arnley typically repackages OEM parts and I've had great luck with them in the past. This part appears however to be manufactured by Sachs and not the OE supplier FTE. First cylinder I received shot the piston out of the housing. I ordered a replacement and the piston rod appeared to be damaged upon receipt. Installed anyway and it failed the same way as the first. Save yourself the frustration, buy OE, avoid! ... show more

  • 2001 525xi 5spd
I ordered a different brand and that slave exploded, I then ordered this from amazon. Its been working 100% perfectly for 4000 miles so far.

  • Perfect!
Works great as expected, was very happy to find that it maintains the same BMW factory clutch pedal feel. Also quite like the switch to a 8mm valve instead of factory 7mm
