I'm a fan of keto diets and use keto test strips often. So, I was eager to test BecaGoode-Urine Rapid Test-Strips for 11 Parameters. For keto diets, beyond the measurement of ketones, the Test-Strips provides urinary pH and specific gravity measurements. Specific Gravity measures the concentration of solutes in the urine. Abnormal levels may indicate dehydration or kidney issues. pH is very important; normal urine pH is around 6, but variations can occur. Extremely acidic or alkaline pH levels may indicate certain health conditions. The Keto diet, characterized by high fat and protein intake coupled with low carbohydrate consumption, stimulates the production of acidic metabolites. Ensuring a safe keto diet is imperative, as failure to maintain proper body pH balance during the diet may result in various issues. Elevated levels of leukocytes, blood and nitrite may suggest a urinary tract infection or inflammation. Abnormal levels of urobilinogen and bilirubin may suggest liver disease. The reagents are conveniently arranged on the test strip according to the reading time, and the urine test is simple and fast. It is worth having it for periodic self-tests. So I'm what you'd call overly concerned about my health. I was washing my hands for 20 seconds even before COVID. That said, I'm a firm believer in data points. One point isn't as compelling as 10 or 15. A picture give you one perspective while a movie tells a story. In other words, more testing over time for tells me how I'm doing. Enter these strips. I like being able to check for common issues I'd otherwise only get insights into once a year with my annual wellness exam. These strips come with a complete color guide so you can interpret the results on your own. Yes, you do need to urinate in a cup. Big deal. Remember to get a stream going before you start to collect and try not to use the first bathroom break of the morning; the second one is best. I took a picture of the strip at 30 seconds , 40 and 60 . Then I could read at my leisure instead of trying to do it quickly . Hope this helps others complaining about not enough time to read the strip .
