Yes...We know how it works by changing the input data sent to the PCM. No, you can’t just do it by driving with a heavy foot. It recalibrates the throttle pedal and makes everything more “sensitive” . I have mine set to the middle setting and anything more would be too difficult to drive smoothly for everyday usage. I’m very happy with the performance of the product. I do find it more expensive than it should be, but it was cheaper than many other similar products. If you are frustrated with modern throttle settings and lack of any feeling, this product will definitely help. Only had it a few days so I don’t have any comment on mileage changes yet. I imagine I may lose 0.5mpg or so but it is worth it for the increased throttle response. Edit: Knocked off one star. Not because of the product, but because the package arrived 2 days late. Amazon doesnt allow reviews on their shipping so be warned. As an Amazon Prime member for over 4 years, this is becoming more frequent and they simply don't care. ... show more

The booster works great and eliminates the dead pedal/turbo lag in my truck. Worked great for about a month and then got a EVIC warning about pedal malfunction. Wiring to the booster had broken just after the plug and have been in contact with BD about getting this covered under their warranty (1 year warranty from date of purchase- bought in August 2018). BD's warranty does not cover any product purchased through Amazon. They did offer to sell me a new wiring harness for $153 US or $209 CDN. ... show more

I love this pedal booster!! This thing makes your truck come alive. It’s a simple plug and play application which anyone with any skill can install. The difference is like night and day. All this pedal booster does is rewrites the signal to the throttle and causes the turbo to spool faster thus producing a quicker throttle response.     • Better than stock, but needs a lot of improvement.
I'm not impressed with this design. I have other vehicles that are DBW and the boosters for those including 2008 JKU that uses superchips for throttle sensitivity just makes it like a cable driven vehicle and its instant response. What this thing does is minimal press of accelerator pedal makes it jump to 100%throttle not, increases the sensitivity it just makes it out way quicker. Really a piss poor design guys. It's better than the lag of stock pedal for sure but it's a crappy solution. If I find something better I will be removing it and going with that. ... show more

    • Works fantastic and simple installation
Purchased this for my 2014 Ram 3500, love the truck with the Cummins ( just sold my 99 with the 5.9 loved it also ) the new truck however was absolutely enimic on acceleration tons of pulling power but was a slug when you stepped on the throttle, installed the BD booster set it on 100 percent and all I can say is WOW what a difference enough so I set it back to 50 percent which is perfect for my needs and the truck has become fun to drive again. Whatever your preference on settings this is an absolute must works exactly as described and a snap to install. ... show more

    • 2019 ram 2500 diesel Works just as advertised
Bought this for my new 2019 ram 2500 and I love it. Ram makes great power but it seems you have to really hit the pedal to get it to move. Now by barely touching the pedal it moves like a freight train. It doesn’t make the truck any faster but it makes it seem faster by making the pedal throw much less than usual. First of all I installed this on a 2014 Ram 2500 6.7l Cummins with the g56 manual transmission. Pretty much bone stock expect a S&B cold air intake. This thing is probably worth all the pennies I spent on it! Totally woke up the engine! The pedal lag never seemed to be that bad until I installed this. I would definitely recommend getting the optional switch as well it’s nice to be able to turn the sensitivity up to 400% just to mess around! I wouldn’t say it has more power the delivery though is a lot quicker. Highly recommend this product! ... show more
