  • I only got this to challenge my husband. He enjoys putting together difficult things.
My husband actually enjoyed putting this together but he has a rare personality type so I wouldn't go by that. He did however throw the directions away and mentioned making an easier more straightforward instructions if asked. It's really beautiful but because it has that strong chemical we had to place it in our closet. The drawers are so spacious and the vacuum cleaner goes under it. This was a plus since it's really heavy to move. ... show more

  • DO NOT BUY!!
This dresser has been a disaster since the moment it came in the mail. I bought this dresser approximately two years ago. My partner at the time worked construction and very often built things with his hands, so when it came in I asked him to assemble it for me. I note this to give a visual representation that it was an experienced builder who attempted to assemble this and the process took almost 4 hours due to its abundance of parts and poor instructions. After a few months, the bottom right drawer fell apart and at this point, the dresser is less than functional. As a college student, I worked very hard to save up and purchase what I thought was going to be a beautiful and functional piece of furniture, and have been horribly disappointed. I rarely if ever say this, but DO NOT BUY THIS ITEM!! I wish I could go back in time and trust my gut instinct of returning for a refund. ... show more

  • Here’s my advice if you insist on building this beautiful evil dresser with terrible instructions:
If like me, you saw the reviews that talked about how hard and complicated this was to assemble, but bought it anyway— here’s my advice. I built this fully alone, and it took me about 5 hours with manual screwdrivers, no power tools. -build the drawers first. If like many of us, your box didn’t come with any of the pieces labeled, start with the drawers. They’re the easiest and most obvious to understand. If you don’t understand how cam bolts and cam locks work, take a quick online video to understand them, because the booklet does not explain it. If you understand cam bolts and cam locks, the drawers are easy. Once the drawers are done, take the rest of the large pieces and try to lay them out, so you can understand which are which. Put pegs in as you work on each piece, rather than following the instructions to do them all at once. A couple of pieces are trial and error (especially trying to figure out which side is up and down), but if you knock out the drawers, the whole thing will become a lot more manageable. And if you have power tools (or someone you can borrow from) do it. There are SO many screws. As I said, I did this in about 5 hours alone with a manual screwdriver, and my thumb had a couple blisters by the end. It’s doable, but don’t put yourself threw it If unnecessary. Or if you only have manual screwdrivers, ask for a friend. Make sure you have one when moving it, because it is HEAVY. And you will need a room with a lot of space to build it. It’s a beautiful piece, and I love it. I also REFUSE to ever build it again. ... show more

  • Worth every penny.
I bought two of these. I am an experienced contractor of many trades, I am very mechanically inclined. The directions are as easy as putting together Lego's, if you have issues with Lego's or riding a bike I would opt for the professional installation as this is not for you! Kit comes in two box's 67lbs and 68.5lbs There is a total of 57 pieces of wood and 12 drawer slide sets in this kit that need to be spread out over a good space and then properly prepared. I spread everything and start with the wood dowels. I also use wood glue on everything!!! I have bilt many kitchen cabinet sets, Bathroom vanities, entertainment centers you name it this kit is no different in the quality of product than any cabinet I have ever picked up from a hardware supply store. . The engineering is B e a utiful!!! Fit and finish is awesome. Very sturdy. Both dressers took me about 4.5 hours alone with a drill to assemble. I would by another. This is also not china made however it is malaysian made. I have not included any photos because others have posted enough. I had two issues that the company corrected very quickly. I had a drawer front that the wooden dowel went through the front. I believe there was packing Styrofoam in the hole of the drawer front from me unpacking. I popped the wooden dowel right out the front of the drawer face also cracking the drawer side. The dresser also has a center support that split while I was installing the screw. I had to email the sellers support email privately as there is no option through amazon to contact them for replacement parts. They have you fill out a parts request form and an explanation. I received a response when the business opened, they did not require any proof or picture they assessed no blame and shipped me the items free of cost. YES I WOULD PURCHASE FROM THIS COMPANY AGAIN! ... show more

  • Pretty Gangster, but not chill
Came in two boxes, one very big and had the dresser housing itself, the other was almost all the wood used for the drawers. The directions make absolutely zero sense, its just a picture book that got scrambled together, had my head hurting. I didn't have access to a drill which is much needed unless you want your wrists to snap off because damn you're screwing so many screws. You need to make sure the slides are put on the right way and are pushed all the way against the face of the drawer. Putting the bottom plate on was a challenge, especially if you're doing this all by yourself. Don't loose any of the screws because you don't get any extra. Putting up the middle support while also putting in the drawer supports was a challenge but it isn't to bad if you start from left to right. It looks sick af, just a pain to build. ... show more

  • Sturdy
This took 3 handy people 4 hours to put together. All of the parts are not even labeled. It was a duster to put together, it’s only mediumly sturdy.

  • Love the dresser but not the work to put it together
Like everyone said, it's kind of a pain to put together, especially if you're doing it alone. The instructions are slightly vague in some parts, ie. it tells you which screw to use but not exactly how many and the picture doesn't point out each area it's needed or which direction the drawer rails go. By the time my husband and I put it together, I was just so glad it was over that I didn't mind the few blemishes some of the pieces had. Overall, I really like the dresser, just not putting it together ourselves. ... show more
