I had a high-end body shop for 20 years, started off working out of a converted barn, and half of what I did was putting high-gloss polished finishes on Porsches. Started out using lacquer when they had lead in the paint, and then they took the lead out and there went the gloss. So, I switched to urethanes. So, what does this have to do with this polisher? Namely this. Superb finishes were accomplished with a 7" polisher turning at 2400 RPM"s. Moving slow and using fine white compounds, liquid ebony to take out the swirl marks, and then machine glaze, and then hand glaze to create a look so incredible you turn two three for four times before walking out of visual range. The only limitation to that type of polisher is that dancing across the small areas was quite a challenge with a full-sized buffer. Having something like this would have been a dream for getting the small areas like the pillars alongside of the windshield, the cowl panel that windshield wipers mount into. Also, a challenge was the area on the license plate channel to name a few. So, this is not going to replace a 7" buffer to get the overall body polished, but in those challenging areas this thing is superb. It comes with two batteries so when the first one is being used the other one can be sitting in the charger which helps for uninterrupted service. For those who need to do polishing on smaller surfaces like guitars, and fine metal pieces this one is a champion. It makes a nice addition to your arsenal. ... show more
