    • BETTER THAN THE ORIGINAL EQUIPMENT THAT CAME ON MY CAMPER
My camper came with a Lippert tongue jack. I was hesitant to get this because it was half the price. But since I only used the camper 4 times before the gears broke inside the gearbox. Next time using it the nut used to override manually broke. (replacement gears not available) I didn't want to spend a lot of money. This Jack works great. It is not any louder then the Original. It was not slower then the original. I had to use a floor jack to raise up the tongue to be able to remove the broken one and it still took less than 10 minutes including the wiring, getting out the tools and putting up the tools. It has great travel distance plus if needed you can extend the base to get more lift. I would definitely recommend this to anyone needing to replace their jack or wants to add a power jack.     • No more two-handed cranking.
It was a cinch replacing the manual crank with this one. This is my first electric tongue jack so I can't compare it to others. It operates faster than I could crank the manual one. The foot has several extra height adjustments held by a bolt and cotter pin. Nice if you need the extra lift distance. Instead of wiring it into the camper's electrical system, I crimped a ring on the end of the wire and simply attach it to the positive battery post when I put the battery in. The only downside to this model is the head sticks farther forward than the old crank handle so I can't drop the tailgate. Inconvenient, but so far, I like the trade-off! One side note, the Up/Down button is opposite of what the jack does. If you press UP, the jack extends. If you press Down, the jack retracts. To me, that's backwards. I thought at first the polarity was reversed inside the switch, but the manual confirms that's how the button operates. I guess they're referring to what the camper does and not what the jack does. ... show more

Easy to install except for the wire, had to find the right fitting for the wire and the mount. But so far it works as expected.

Ok, hear me out. I am 57 and things need to be simple stupid or less is more, or one of my favs, work smarter not harder. So, I got this because one day winding up my trailer exhausted me out and I thought I need to get one. And I did. LOVE IT! Mine is hooked up differently. I have 2 solar panels and batteries in trailer for the lights and 2000watt inverter. I plugeed this into my system directly to the batteries. My solar system gets some power from the truk battery when I plug the trailer in. As I said, this was the best thing I have purchased.
