  • Clips pop out unexpectedly
Size: 2023-2021 Model 3 (Grey)
I purchased the Glass Roof Sun Shades with high hopes of keeping my car cooler during hot summer days. While the sunshade does provide some relief from the sun's heat and glare, I have to give it a three-star rating due to a frustrating issue. The sunshade's design is generally good, and it effectively reduces the temperature inside my car. It's easy to install, and the material seems to be of decent quality. However, the main drawback I've experienced is the clip mechanism used to secure it in place. The clips, although convenient in theory, are prone to popping out unexpectedly. This can be incredibly frustrating, especially when driving at high speeds or when the sunshade is in use for an extended period. It requires constant readjustment and re-clipping, which is not only annoying but also potentially unsafe. ... show more

  • No instructions or information supplied with product!!
Size: Model Y Roof Sunshade Black
Reflector panels (2) not identified as to which of the cloth panels they must mount onto, panels are 2 different sizes and orientation matters!! Front and rear panels are different sizes!! Supplied clips worked well and hold panels in proper places and some minor sag but not bad at all!! Product installed well (must watch You Tube video on how to install)! Absolutely NO EXCUSE for not including install instructions and directions, but workmanship seemed to be OK and panels look great installed and makes a Major REDUCTION in heat thru glass!! My daughter while sitting in the car DID NOT NOTICE they were installed!! The black panels perfectly match the black interior!! Ample number of mounting clips were supplied and they are simple to install and hold panels very well! Drove around after install with windows fully open and wind caused “flapping” noise was almost nonexistent and was not at all objectionable when it did happen, which was seldom. So far I am very pleased with this product! Performs as advertised!! Reflector panels seem very substantial and block sun light and HEAT!! Black cover material is thin and light. Fit contour is excellent and looks very well designed to fit!! ... show more

  • It is ok
Size: 2023-2021 Model 3 (Grey)
They are pretty well made. I think it is help reduce the heat in the summer but I think you still need to tint the car anyway. I had model 3 and it is too heavy and made the rim above the back doors fell and it block the visibility of the rear window. I push them back and left the front one on only.

  • It really keeps the heat out
Size: Model Y Roof Sunshade Grey
If you own a Tesla Y, you know that the sun can make the cabin very hot, especially during the summer months. This Tesla Y overhead sun shade is a great way to keep the heat out and the sunlight from coming through anywhere. It is made of high-quality materials and is very easy to install. The chip has to push into the frame at 90 degree angle then twist so it won’t pop out. The frame is sturdy. It fits perfectly over the front windshield and side windows, and it does a great job of blocking out the sun. I highly recommend this product to anyone who owns a Tesla Y. Here are some of the pros and cons of this product: Pros: Keeps the heat out and the sunlight from coming through anywhere Made of high-quality materials Easy to install Fits perfectly over the front windshield and side windows Blocks out 99% of harmful UV rays Reduces glare and heat Improves visibility Protects your interior from fading and cracking Cons: Can be a bit pricey May not be wise to use in very cool climates when you want the sun to heat the cabin It’s not meant to be used like a windshield shade which removes and installs in seconds Overall, I think this is a great product and I would highly recommend it to anyone who owns a Tesla Y. It is a great way to keep the cabin cool and comfortable, and it is also very easy to install. ... show more

  • Easy to install, car is cooler
Size: Model Y Roof Sunshade Grey
I live in Southern California where the temps get 90 plus in the summer. When sitting in the car in the middle of the day, I can feel the heat coming off of the glass roof in my Model Y. The sun shade was relatively easy to install. There are no instructions and it can be a little confusing as to what clips to use in what location. There are youtube videos you can watch to help you. Once you figure it out, it can be done by one person in less than 10 minutes. I don't feel the sun beating down on my head anymore and the car is cooler, so the shade does what it is supposed to. The included reflective cover that goes between the shade and the glass roof really helps. ... show more

  • They are relatively good but…
Size: 2017-2020 Model 3 (Black)
Overall, the sun shades are good. They do a decent job of blocking the sun and keeping my Tesla a bit cooler in the blistering sun. However, I’m a bit frustrated with the screen for the rear moon roof as it hangs down and partially blocks the view in my rear view mirror and will occasionally (three times so far) just fall down while I’m driving. All clips are in place but it just doesn’t seem to fit as well as the front one does. ... show more

  • I should have ordered black
Size: Model Y Roof Sunshade Grey
Installation information came from an online video that left some details out. Physically it does not sag and in the current heat dome I have noticed that it does reduce the amount of heat in the car with the extra solar sheet installed. (Note, this is an included reflective sheet you Velcro to the top of the screen before you put the screen in). I wish I had ordered black, as the grey shows wrinkles and the factory smudges. Due to this I will be taking this out in the winter and may order the black for next year and give this one to another Y owner. ... show more

  • Fits 2023 Model 3 Yesla
Size: 2023-2021 Model 3 (Grey)
Accurately fits the two roof panels of the 2023 Tesla Model 3. Other brands I tried do not fit well. Downside is the panels require the addition of reflective covers (supplied), if you need to block serious heat. These extra panels are held on with elastic straps, which is a bit clunky. The upside of the base panels is, without the reflective covers attached, more light gets into the car, giving you more of the advantage of the glass roof. This will probably be useful in Fall or Spring in some regions. ... show more
