  • 100" Barrington - excellent for the price
Style: 8 - Arlington
I have definitely never written such a long review before, but here is some info I hope you will find useful: I always wanted a pool table in my house, and decided this was the year. I looked at many options, including used. You can generally go with a slate table or wood. Slate tables can be $5000 or more, and I wasn't ready for that. Even a used slate table is going to cost you $2000 or more just to move it. Lastly, slate tables need to be professionally installed (big bucks), where a wood table like this one can be put together pretty easily, since the top (felt & bumpers) is pre-assembled. Some day I will graduate to a slate table, but this was the best choice for me now. The table looks great, plays pretty true (still getting the hang of leveling it), and feels completely sturdy. As others have noted, the two included cues are pretty basic, so eventually treat yourself to a couple nicer ones. Comes with set of balls, 8-ball triangle, and chalk, all fine. 100" is big, and you will need a large space. Figure 17' x 13' minimum, or you will be banging the cue stick into walls constantly. Shipping: I was happy with the shipping through NSD (not sure who you'll get). They changed my chosen time slot, but same day. It's one huge box, and it is extremely well packaged. It would take a lot to damage the actual table. Delivery guys placed the box inside my front door. Assembly: Since it is so well protected in the packaging, getting it out was half the battle. You will be cleaning up bits of styrofoam from your house/business for weeks. Instructions are pretty clear, and I completed the base in about 2 hours by myself. The next part is lifting the top onto the base and lining up the holes for the final screws. I recommend at least 3 strong guys for this step. Overall, I am so happy with this table. Definitely five stars for the price. The price fluctuates on this site and wayfair, but I got it here on amazon for $1000. If you are looking for a high end professional pool table, this may not be for you. For $1000 and my first table, I couldn't be any happier. ... show more

  • The Quality of the packing of the table far out does the quality of the pooltable
Style: 8.3' - Arlington Slate-Tech
The pool table was assembled and leveled, when I tried to play pool I discovered that the table has a 1/2 inch dip in the center of the table, all the balls end up in the middle of the playing service, you can't place the balls on any suface without moving to the center. This defect should have been detected at the factory quality inspection department, if they have one. The table itself is beautiful but unusable, unless it can be repaired ... show more

  • Springdale 90" - Looks Good, A Little Warped
Style: 7.5' - Springdale
This is for the 90" Springdale. Overall the pool table goes together very easily. The legs look fine, people are too picky. It is heavy but was able to assemble upside-down and flip with 2 total people. The big issue is that the playing surface is wood and prone to warping. On mine, a slow hit ball would drift to the edges/corners fairly aggressively. The center of the table was higher than the edges and corners, basically. I ended up having to remove the cross supports from underneath (they are pinned at the ends and screwed to the bottom of the playing surface). I used a dremel to get one side cut then could pull the other side right out. I added a diagonal brace across the bottom with a 2x4 reinforced with metal braces on either side. I have a 1/2" lag bolt going through that up into a 2x6 square that I screwed into the bottom of the playing surface. There is a lot of force pulling the center down now, but the balls are rolling true. I also had to shim along the edges where the playing surface assembly sits on the leg assemblies since it wasn't even all the way around. I used old credit cards. It was easier to do the bracing than return / replace the pool table (which would probably have the same problem). Don't drill through the felt if you are messing around and drilling up through the bottom to add supports. The chalk is bad, the cues are bad. The balls seem fine and the plastic rack is fine. It looks more expensive than it is. Happy with it now. ... show more

  • Love it!
Style: 7.5' - Springdale
This is a great non-slate table. It's leveled up good with the levelers and the flatness is pretty close to perfect after tinkering with the adjustments under the playing surface. It feels like I'm playing on a slate table. Anyone who has played plenty of pool knows what I'm talking about. It has a very hard surface feel to it. The banks have great rebound bounce to them. Two of us carried the main part of it from the garage and carefully brought it down the stairs one step at a time resting it here and there on the stairs. I would recommend doing it with 3 or 4 people if you have them. The assembly is a little involved and would go together better with two people rather then just one like I had to. You will need at least two people to transport it and to do the final stretch of assembly. I will add that the outside of the legs are plastic that is a synthetic wood looking surface. When I assembled it under bright lights I was thinking hmmm I don't know. Where I have the table and the lighting I'm using for the pool room it doesn't matter. I have the surface of the table well-lit up but the surrounding room is dim. The legs look like they are made of wood with the lightning I have. The legs could be a deal breaker if you put the table in a room that is completely bright every where. The plastic look might not be what you want. The pool sticks are good enough for beginners to start with but recommend getting better ones. One of the two that came with it is not straight. I'm very happy with the seller and the shipping company they used. If you're looking for a good looking table, that has an excellent playing surface at a great price this is the table for you. I give this table, the seller and the price for the table an A+. ... show more
