  • Barrington Springdale 7.5"
Style: 7.5' - Springdale
The Barrington Springdale 7.5" took me by surprise. I always liked playing on slate pool table and was skeptical about buying this plywood table. Here are the facts. The box was packed very good. It was very heavy and the delivery guys struggled with getting It off the truck and into our garage. I opened the box and removed all the parts except the playing field which is already put together. I needed to get it to the basement so removing the parts made it alot easier to move. I'm not going to lie, I took my time putting the legs and base together. Once that was completed I was able to get a couple more people to lift the playing surface into position. The table is very level and it was easy to do. For the money it's a no brainer. The felt is really good. The bumpers are a little slower and don't have a lot of bounce. I would say the bumpers are at 8 out of 10. The table looks great and plays great. The size of the playing field is slightly under sized but the nice play makes up for it. The balls are really nice and have a lot of action. The sticks that come with the table need to be replaced with full size ones. They are good if you have a wall near by and need a shorter stick. I would recommend buying new cue stocks and keep the short ones for kids. The rack is plastic invest in a wooden one. All in all a huge positive surprise! I love the pool table, especially the price! This is a great deal. ... show more

  • Laughable and extremely overpriced table
Style: 7.5' - Springdale
This table is a complete joke! I bought it for my business and man was I disappointed! I wanted something between professional and junk. What I got was two grades below junk. I wouldn't pay $200 for this table so I feel like I was swindled out of $1200. I called Amazon IMMEDIATELY to take this back from whence it came. * It is uneven, even though my level says it's even all over the table. This is because the actual playing surface, the most important part, is WARPED! I place a ball near the wall and it rolls to the wall like a magnet. * The balls roll like they are flat. Lol They don't roll smooth or freely at all. This is due to the cheap felt that they covered the table with. It doesn't even feel like a normal pool table. *The bumpers... It was so bad, I called Chase and told them I wouldn't be doing any banking today. Yes, they are really that bad. The ball won't even come back halfway after a hard shot. * The parts are cheap. It feels like wood they use for Karate demonstrations. Holes don't line up at all and I had to have help to bend some boards straight while I drilled in a screw or bolt. Other times I had to make holes. * Just throw the cues in the trash. They are so cheap it's embarrassing. * Assembly was simple and straight forward and I had all the parts. That is what earned them one star. If you want great forearms though, put this thing together with a screwdriver and ratchet. If you don't, have a drill handy with metric sockets and a Philip's bit. ... show more

  • Springdale 90" - Looks Good, A Little Warped
Style: 7.5' - Springdale
This is for the 90" Springdale. Overall the pool table goes together very easily. The legs look fine, people are too picky. It is heavy but was able to assemble upside-down and flip with 2 total people. The big issue is that the playing surface is wood and prone to warping. On mine, a slow hit ball would drift to the edges/corners fairly aggressively. The center of the table was higher than the edges and corners, basically. I ended up having to remove the cross supports from underneath (they are pinned at the ends and screwed to the bottom of the playing surface). I used a dremel to get one side cut then could pull the other side right out. I added a diagonal brace across the bottom with a 2x4 reinforced with metal braces on either side. I have a 1/2" lag bolt going through that up into a 2x6 square that I screwed into the bottom of the playing surface. There is a lot of force pulling the center down now, but the balls are rolling true. I also had to shim along the edges where the playing surface assembly sits on the leg assemblies since it wasn't even all the way around. I used old credit cards. It was easier to do the bracing than return / replace the pool table (which would probably have the same problem). Don't drill through the felt if you are messing around and drilling up through the bottom to add supports. The chalk is bad, the cues are bad. The balls seem fine and the plastic rack is fine. It looks more expensive than it is. Happy with it now. ... show more
