I was going to return the speaker because it was a week late and I needed it for an event, but decided to open it and compare it to a JBL extreme and it blew it away. There a lot of bad reviews on this which is crazy to me because this is an amazing speaker. It just requires testing various equalizers from GooglePlay. I found the right one and this things jams severely. With volume at half it is loud as hell and has brilliant clarity and bass response. I bought the Evo Crusher headphones back in November and they are the best I've ever heard. Skullcandy has delivered some great products for the price. I paid over $300 for the JBL Extreme 3 a few years ago and still love it but it is no better than the Skullcandy Barrel. Just take the time to find a good EQ. Your phone is typically equipped with a mediocre audio system. Make a little effort and you will enjoy this awesome speaker. Love it!! ... show more

I literally love this product! It’s perfect for my home gym and boy does she get rowdy. I know other customers are complaining about it crashing out or audio problems but I haven’t had any. Works excellent. Had both the JBL Charge 4 & 5 but it didn’t get as loud as I would like. This blew my expectations and i am very happy with this product. Plus, it came with stickers!!!! I'm on my second one. The first one would not hold or take a charge, returned it. Now this one held a charge for two hours at lower volumes then died. Fully charged it several times with same results. Side by side with my Tribit SBB, with the same exact song tracks, Tribit had more bass. The extra base option on the Barrel XT just distorts alot of the bass. If you have these two speakers, try "baby got back" by SMalot between the two. Skullcandy - no bass; Tribit - nice deep, boomy bass how I know the song should sound. Yet, I love the headphones (Crusher Evo) - these have amazing bass and sound. Can you tell I like bass ? I'd skip this speaker. I gave it one star because it looks really cool. Off to returns it goes. For the money - Tribit all day. ... show more
