I like that it's aluminum since other metal bats I searched had questionable chemical warnings in their description and I'd rather not take my chances. Plus, it came at a reasonable price. Taking into account that I am a smaller person, I like that it is sturdy but also light weight and not too tall, which I felt made it good for easy grabbing from my bedside.     • Great against alligators and big mean dogs

Daily I take my 22 pound fox terrier walks near a pond with alligators as big as 12 feet long. They have killed local dogs and are a threat to human beings. Also one local dog is as big as a small horse. Twice he was a treat to kill my dog and came within a few feet when his owner finally restrained him! Now I always walk with my aluminum baseball bat, much more assured I can fend off this dual threat. This bat is exactly as described, but I only purchased it to keep in the house as a self defense tactic. If you're doing the same - PLEASE READ: put a long sock over the wide end of the bat. That way, if you swing it and your attacker catches the bat with their hand, you can pull the bat out leaving them holding the sock. Keep safe y'all! ... show more

Feels sturdy and well put together. Grip is nice, weight is well distributed. I have no intention of using this at the batting cages, just keeping it next to the bedside for some peace of mind in these strange days.

Solid bat, keeping it by the bedside in case I need it for home protection. Doesn’t feel like some cheap junk. It feels pretty durable. Would come in handy if I ever need to use it.
