UPDATE: So yeah... the replacement sheets are fine. Fitted sheet went on easily. Not sure what happened there, but I'm glad I gave it another try. Love these! --- The elastic band in the fitted sheet was way too short. The sheet itself was the right size, so I know the problem was with the band. I just brought mom from the hospital today after a prolonged stay. I'd gotten these and washed them so they were ready for her. When we got home all she wanted to do was sleep, but the old sheets were long gone and the fitted sheet on this just would not go on the bed. I wrestled with it for about 20 minutes, trying to get the band underneath the bed as much as possible so it'd be long enough. No such luck. When I tried to force it the band snapped. It is only due to the popularity of this brand and particular sheet set that I am exchanging this instead of returning it. Don't make me regret it Bare Home! Black Queen sheets. Love the comfortability of these bed clothes. Soft after first wash. Relatively thin because material is stretchy, but I feel that makes them easier to clean and dry. These sheets are so soft & gentle against your skin. They float on the bed like a gentle breeze is moving them. They do not wrinkle at all which I love. The price was a little more than I usually pay but they are so worth every penny!!

Part of the problem is I didn't confirm the material. We really like 100% cotton sheets and these are 100% polyester. My fault. We have a sleep number split head king and they are a little too big so there are always wrinkles under the quilt. However because they are polyester there are no wrinkles in the sheets themselves which is nice. They seem to me to sleep warm rather than cool like cotton sheets. Therefore maybe we'll like them more when the weather cools off. The color is a cool white which is also nice rather than a warm (yellow/rose) color. ... show more
