They are wide and very comfortable. We have an island bar and sit in them a lot. The assembly was a breeze with everything laid out very clear and in detail packaging. They are surprisingly light weight and slide very easy. I would recommend these if you have plenty of room as they are wider than most bar stools, but are worth the comfort and ease you get from them. They are well worth the money. Was easy to assemble. Comfortable and swivels easily. Be careful when swiveling that the top and back of the chairs do not get damaged by making contact with underside of counter. I installed some rubber trim used to protect babies (bought here on Amazon). along side edge of counter top to hopefully prevent damage. Would recommend...nice furniture. ... show more

I really like the bar stools. They look nice and are very sturdy. Putting the stools together is very simple and doesn't take long. I don't have a large kitchen so I took 1 bar stool and put it in my computer room and the other is in my kitchen so I don't have to stand continually while cooking and I can cozy up to the countertops and drink coffee. ... show more

There is very little to like about this chair. It's sturdy, arrived packaged impeccably, assembly was simple, looks good, raises to the specified height, and the cushion is comfortable. One small issue I had was that it arrived with two sizes of screws, and I couldn't figure out which went where since they were almost identical (one slightly shorter). I took a guess, tightened well, and onward. Another tiny issue is that the footrest is small and does not extend out very far. It's enough to get you into the chair, but I'm more comfortable tucking the top of my feet into the footrest. What's fantastic is that this seat does not push me all the way back into the backrest. I feel like I sit more upright, which I wanted, as my shoulders tense up if I lean back too much. There is good padding where my leg leaves the chair, and no corners. This is comfortable enough for me to sit at all day. If I do lean back, I don't feel like the chair will tip. This was a really great purchase so far. ... show more

The stools are easy to assemble. They are structurally very sound. The cushions are comfortable. The lumbar support on the back is very nice. Adjustment up and down works well. The base is a plastic material but it seems quite strong and is functional.

The chairs are beautiful and comfortable. Unfortunately, one of the seats had a sharp, metal point sticking out (staple perhaps?). Anyway, through Amazon I contact the company and they immediately sent us another seat. The fully packed box looked a bit overwhelming, but the chairs were actually easy to assemble. I really like the look of this bar stool so much. I was willing to live with the uncomfortableness of it...... The issue was it is a little snug on your hips (I'm 200 lbs 6 foot tall) and you feel like you are sliding forward. After deciding not to send it back, I came up with a solution! I added 2- 1/4" nuts and a longer bolts to the front two mounting holes of the seat. This tilted the seat up just enough to feel so much more comfortable!!
