Like the title say's, it does ok, it definitely will give more shine to your parts but I've yet to be able to get anything to mirror polish with this, I can do it with some fine grit sandpaper and by hand but honestly this doesn't do great, especially compared to our more expensive units in the shop I work in. Where this does come through is being able to redefine your edge profile quickly on knives. It's not enough to re-establish a bevel for chips but you can definitely take a knife up to a dull razor sharp fast. It will shave, not perfectly but well enough that I can hit it with 8,000 and a 12,000 stone, strop it and I'm incredibly sharp. this enables me to skip the first 8 stones in my whetstones and cut me out a good 30 minutes work per knife but for polishing rings, glass, metal, the buffing and soft wheel don't do... great ... show more
