This is for "baoced Mechanical Gaming Keyboard, Full Size 98 Anti-Ghosting Keys Brown Switch Keyboards with ICY Blue Backlight, Wired Detachable USB Type-C Gaming Keyboard with Adjustable Kickstand (white blue-brown switch)" Received screen printed box containing keyboard, usb-c cable, key puller, and small instruction booklet. Keyboard has some heft to it, probably because of a metal sheet inside the keyboard. Brown keys have a subtle detent when pressed, similar to a membrane/rubber dome keyboard along with mechanical feel. Keyboard is around 2" narrower than a normal full size keyboard due to moving keypad to the left, four of the typical nine keys moved above the keypad, and the rest assigned as FN+ keys. All of the keys have their own led backlight at the top (north) part of the key. Any legends below the top part of the key are not backlit. Using the keyboard at a normal (not top down) angle, the key fonts are readable and backlight is sufficient. Backlight is bright enough to be visible in office lighting, and backlight can be turned off for better contrast. In the dark, the keyboard is very bright at highest backlight setting. There are four backlight levels and many patterns, plus the ability to customize lighting groups. Keyboard remembers the backlight and pattern settings through power cycles. The media could not be loaded. The keyboard exceeded my expectations. While the board is made of plastic, it is hefty and seems durable. The launch price was a bit high, but considering the quality of the keyboard, the current price is fantastic. The typing experience is impressive. As someone not typically a fan of brown switches, this is the first board that makes brown switches sound good. I appreciate sound feedback, and previous keyboards with brown switches had been lackluster in that department. The satisfying bump enhances the typing feedback, and the stabilizers are excellent; I don't detect any obvious rattling, which is crucial for me as it's one of the reasons I've disliked keyboards in the past. The aesthetic is pleasing. The blue and white switches look really attractive with the blue light. The shine-through keycaps are convenient for working at night. The layout is great for those who need the number keys, as they are included without taking up much desk space. Overall, this is an excellent keyboard for both typing and gaming. I grabbed this keyboard--"blue white-red switch" version--to have one at one of my test benches for when I'm warming up a new machine. I don't really have strong opinions on keyswitch types, but I found this keyboard to be pretty comfortable and nicely compact. Goes well with white accessories, and especially with a white/blue trackball, but even a standard wired mouse for consistent testing looks nice next to this. I like that it has an intact number pad *and* still uses dedicated pgup/pgdn/ins/del keys. Most of my keyboards are fullsize with the separate section for page control and arrows. For what I need it for, and for the current price of $36 (or even the "typical" amazon price of $40) it feels like a good selection even for non-gamers. ... show more
