  • Wow
Style: (2 Penne/2 Rotini/2 Shells)
I have gestational diabetes so I have to be very careful about the carbs I choose to put in my body. Decided to get this due to the good fiber and protein content. Wow. I didn’t expect to like it this much. I just made a giant pot of rich, creamy baked Mac and cheese for my husband and me and I was able to eat a full, satisfying portion with good glucose levels and hour later. Not only that, it’s delicious. The pasta by itself is “beany” tasting, so keep that in mind. As a chef, I recommend that you add lots of ingredients and spices to it. My husband could not tell it was made of garbanzo beans. And my toddler loved it too! THAT is the best endorsement of all. ... show more

  • Delicious gluten-free pasta
Style: (2 Penne/2 Rotini/2 Shells)
I love this product for its texture and taste. It’s gluten-free, and provides more protein than traditional pasta. Plus, it comes in various shapes, making it fun to serve and eat. I have it with tomato sauce. It’s also great in salads. Or with pesto.

  • Good taste
Style: (2 Penne/2 Rotini/2 Shells)
Great taste and texture but due to it being chickpeas you will have a tone of gas. great if you want low carb. They last a super long time have a good texture when cooked can't tell the difference between non chickpea and normal pasta.

  • I love this pasta
This purchase was the first time I had ever bought a Banza product, so I figured it would be best to get the variety pack so I can see which type works best for me. I didn't even know products like this existed. I just thought pasta was pasta. That was until I found that I suddenly was allergic/sensitive to a million things and had to restructure my diet. I am sensitive to pretty much all fruits, vegetables, and rice. I was somewhat sensitive to wheat, but that is not an issue anymore. Either way, some of the best sources of fiber were ruled out of my diet just like that. Then I stumbled upon Banza Chickpea Pasta. The main selling point for me was that it's a fairly safe food in terms of allergies/sensitivities. I read that even people that are allergic to everything (me) can most likely eat chickpea products - while that may or may not be true, it turns out that I have no issues with it. I was happy that it was packed with fiber since I needed a solid source of fiber after losing most of my sources due to sudden sensitivities. I was even happier to see that it was also packed with protein as I enjoy weightlifting and am always looking for whole-food sources of protein. I don't have a gluten allergy or intolerance, but I was trying to limit my intake while my body was in that sensitive state post-surgery (suffered from leaky gut for months afterwards), so this product being gluten-free was good. The first time I tried this it was hard to eat. I used to eat regular pasta plain (don't care for tomato sauce), so I figured I'd try this plain. Yuck. I needed something to take the bitter taste away and make it so it wasn't a chore to eat it. Barbecue sauce makes everything better, so I squirted a little in my bowl and mixed it up. It sounds gross, but I really like it. I only use a little bit - just enough to mask the weird taste. Just enough to make it enjoyable. This chickpea pasta is now a staple in my diet. I usually prep my meals for the week on Sunday, but this pasta is an exception as I only cook enough for 2 days worth of this stuff. I'm sure it could go longer in the fridge, but I'm not sure how the texture and quality would be as it is a bit different than regular pasta. It's quick enough to cook it up anyways so I don't mind doing another batch on Tuesday night. When I heat it up at work, I just splash a tiny bit of water in there for it to soak up while heating and it's great. No different than just after cooking. Bottom line: safe food for me with all my allergies/sensitivities, great source of protein, great source of fiber, non-GMO, keeps well in the fridge, quick to cook up, tastes good when you prep it right and use something to mask the natural plain flavor of it, gluten-free as a bonus ... show more

  • The pasta is pretty good
Style: (2 Penne/2 Rotini/2 Shells)
Tried Banza pasta for the first time today 7/11/24 the taste is pretty good. My only issue is the amount of pasta provided in each box. Why is it only 8 ounces per box? Eight ounces only serves two people for dinner for the price it’s extremely expensive. Trying to incorporate a healthy diet but with these prices it’s hard to budget food like this. ... show more
