    • This is the first hearing amplifier or aid I've had that I think I'll be able to live with!

My observations (and helpful critiques): 1. This thing is hard to search on Amazon; the device name is not mentioned in listing title. 2. Is this posting for 1 or 2 devices? Most of this vendor's listings are for TWO. 3. There is some confusion about colors. At first glance, blue/red appears to be a cosmetic choice. Then you learn that the colors are keyed to the R/L ear. And the sides are not interchangeable. 3. The provided user manual is really more of a "quick start". No more detailed user manual with complete information is available online. 4. The discussion of the "programs" feature in the user manual is perfunctory. It is only explained in detail far down on the Amazon product page. Program 1: Normal mode, full frequency enhancement. Program 2: LC mode, attenuates low frequencies and increase high frequency effects. Program 3: HC mode, attenuates high frequencies and increase low frequency effects. When you turn on the headset, it beeps 1, 2, or 3 times to indicate the current program. 5. How about the claimed "noise reduction"? There is no mention of it in the user manual or on the product page. Does Program 3, where high frequencies are filtered, serve as the noise reduction? 6. There are repeated mentions of "6-stage amplification". Without any detailed explanation, the feature is meaningless. 7. The manual says to store the device in a desiccant container. WHAT desiccant container? Where do I get one? 8. If volume is set fairly high as for soft dialog in a movie, sudden loud sound will cause noticeable harmonic distortion. So volume will need to be adjusted often. in those circumstances. Fortunately, the volume control is easy to access and convenient to use. 9. The paucity of information is needlessly frustrating. Why do so many China manufactures fail to hire professional technical writers? A good tech writer would test the product, identify the obvious questions - and sometimes even design problems - and provide organized and coherent answers. 9. One last observation: Even in Program 3, where the high frequencies are somewhat attenuated, the highs are still a bit too exaggerated for my hearing. I would guess that most users need more boost in that range than I do. Criticism aside, this product is truly outstanding. I found that, with the proper choice of ear domes the sound can be adjusted to be fairly natural with any degree of amplification. The trick for me is to not fit the dome so tightly as to couple the air column in the ear, but to leave it slightly loose. (The provided perforated domes might have been ideal but are too small for me.) The amplified and ambient sounds then blend together to sound very natural and you can actually forget that you're wearing the amplifier. This works better than my $2000 custom-fitted Siemens. I was an NYC orchestral musician for much of my life and can say that this is the first hearing amplifier or aid that I've ever had that I think I'll be able to live with! ... show more

Another fine quality product from Banglijian This device is the best year from Banglijian! It is comfortable, does not feedback appreciably, is nearly invisible, charges quickly and easily, functions well, is versatile, and significantly enhances hearing. The kit is clearly professional and designed with the customer in mind. Documentation is clear and concise. The ear tube is a bit short for my wife but Banglijian is considering a modification of this particular model, and do not see this as justification for less than a five star review. I can wholeheartedly recommend the Banglijian audio products that we have tried. Another five stars to Banglijian for providing quality devices, and for the continuing evolution and enhancements with each new generation. These hearing aids are very good quality and enable me to hear others and the TV and radio which I could not hear before. Each is individually rechargeable via a miniature USB charging port and the charge lasts about 20+ hours.

My mother lost her $4000 hearing aids so I saw these on Amazon and decided to try them. I think they work just as well and when she loses them it cost me around $150.!!

Update: Been a week. They work fine. Started using the gun shaped dome. Think that is better for me with this RIC aide. . Feed back is small. Make sure wax is picked out of aides at least once a week. I found some issues there. For the money, they are a five. I have no experience with the in store expensive aides. If I can stay at the 300 dollar level for a pair, I will be very happy camper. I like the coloring and my wife does to. You can not tell I have them own. They seem to be more powerful than the last pair. I hear my shoes squeak. I will up date latter. They do go into the canal and I am using smaller dome and open air kind. Had to get my wife to help put domes on. My hands are not as steady. I do believe Banglijian will work with you or me. There are a lot of apples and oranges out there. But they are are pretty much Class 1 Conductive Air Hearing Aides as defined by FDA. . I have them in program 1 and lowest vol. Easy to follow directions and choose your setting or domes that's best for you. The sound is a little tinny so I will try other settings. Good luck in your search. ... show more

It took some experimenting with the settings, but it is as good as my expensive aid that served me well for many years....finally quit working. I only need one so it was nice that I did not have to buy a pair. Highly recommend.
