They are very light and a soft light wood. I got them for plants and haven't put up yet, hoping they will hold. They are pretty but not super well made. One has an odd stain line and the other came with dents all over. If you plan to hang these where they will be looked at up close not sure they will be the quality for this. The cost is representative of the quality. Nice to have an all in 1 product that already has the brackets. Will be putting them up over the weekend and will order a second set of they are able to hold a couple small plants. ... show more

Was super excited to add these to my home office for plants, candles, lightweight knick knacks and the colors match my desk perfectly. But the minute I pulled these out of the box I was so disappointed. The shelves are super small and very lightweight (I think they're supposed to be bamboo but how? They feel like balsa to me). They literally looked like leftover construction pieces that had a thin coat of stain applied. The stain is light and uneven and there were chips all over the place. The "drill holes" on the shelves don't match up to the bracket holes. Believe me I tried all sorts of configurations. They drilled one side opposite of the bracket! When I went to install these on the wall, I pre-drilled holes in the plaster to put the plastic anchors in and the anchor broke! So I ended up just having to use the screws since I wasn't intending to use these for heavy objects (and yes, our walls are plaster, not drywall). Even worse is the brackets aren't angled properly which means the one shelf I managed to finally get installed is at an angle! I tried to bend the brackets down (carefully) but I could hear the wood cracking so I stopped. I'm so mad I decided to not even install the other two shelves. The only reason I'm not returning these d**ned things is because it took me forever to get the one on the wall since my power drill died and I had to hand screw all the brackets in. YES...USE AN ELECTRIC DRILL. If I do decide to try to install the other two (which will definitely be long after I calm down), I'll try to bend the brackets first. Look, I'm no professional and I've only installed shelves a couple times in my life, but none of them were this level of frustrating. I looked up how to install shelves, I used a level, I marked up where to drill, I went slowly. If the shelf was not level due to me not having a straight line on installation that's on me, but to have the shelf angled because the brackets aren't shaped properly? Nope...this is a horrible product that was (for me) a nightmare to install. In the end, they look as cheap as they feel. And this company touts itself as an "environmentally conscious company"....which I fully support and appreciate ANY company who makes an effort, but it's not enough to mask the fact your product sucks for what it's intended for. Make a good product ffs because that's what you took my money for. AAAGH! ... show more

These shelves are so crazy small, I know it gave the dimensions in the description but the pictures made them look bigger to me. One of the shelves the pre-made holes for the screw was too far forward so I had to make new holes so the handle thing would be flush with the wall. Let me state that I am so tired of getting cheap Balsa wood type products and having to return them for being so cheaply manufactured that I can deal with this product and still manage to use it and if it breaks. I don't care. First, the product is very soft for shelving, like...this board is probably what children use in karate to master the art of punching through a wooden plank...except way softer than that. Secondly, it was really cute they included anchors. I appreciate the effort but I will not be trusting these shelves to hold up anything more than a picture frame and stuffed animals. I can only imagine the hilarious scenarios of using the anchors and putting any type of weight on these. Thirdly, they had attempted to score the boards where you need to screw the hardware (arms) into the board but the measurements were WAY off and all out of whack.. not even aligned to one another.. Fourthly, the width cut of the boards were not even so they kind of jut out on one side Fifthly, the finish is runny, and deeply scratched, because of how soft this wood is. So if you're like me and sick of returning crap like this, save yourself the time and $$. ... show more

These are fine as decorative shelves for small items, but they feel like they are made of balsa wood, so I would not put anything heavy on them. My nails scratched them just getting them out of the box, so I worry about how they will hold up long term. They are pretty, though.

These are good very light weight easy to install and it looks great . I needed shelves for my obsession with babushka dolls (nesting dolls) :) I did use big nails to hang them up on my wall because it was hard to screw them in the wall aince i didnt have a drill but other than that pretty good !
