This mat is great, its thick and cushiony. I would recommend using this on hard floors, but could work on short carpet. I bought to use with my walking pad under the desk, but since my desk is on carpet there was just too much cushion and the belt was hitting this mat.

I purchased the first one in 2021 and it's still in daily use for floor exercises and has withstood 3 years of weights being dropped on it. I decided to get a set of puzzle gym floor mats recently to expand my floor protection. Where the weights are dropped have already deformed them creating a trip hazard (less than 2 months). I decided to purchase another of this mat to set on top of the puzzle mat and it works superbly. It's heavy enough to push the bad area down and provides a more durable padding to protect the floor. Works great with treadmill. Have no issues using treadmill on carpet with this mat. Does make it difficult moving treadmill because it will not slide at all. Reduces noise a bit but not sure to how much that really is if you are in an apartment Can easily vacuum and clean. It is a nice size with decent thickness . I am very pleased with this mat. It arrived in time and in excellent condition. It unrolled easily and had only a minimal curl at the end that had the tightest roll. I did not notice any smell or odor. I ordered this to help protect my floor and reduce some noise from my new treadmill. I easily unrolled it and maneuvered my Nordictrack onto it. As you can see from the photos, it is the perfect size. The treadmill fits both the width and the length of this mat. The mat feels like an appropriate thickness, and seems to have enough cushion without sacrificing durability. As I don't plan to use it for an exercise mat (although I certainly could), I expect that it will last a long time. For the price, I couldn't beat it. I wanted to get more active while still spending a huge amount of time at a keyboard and listening to podcasts, so I purchased this. It has worked really well so far. No assembly needed, and it's light enough for me to pick up the end without the wheels, and easily wheel it around. It does roll smoothly, so no worries about having it on hardwood floors. I did buy a pad to go under it though. I am 5'7" and worried about having to shorted my stride to walk on it, but it is mot a problem. I am going to slap together a small table top or something to rest my arms on while using the keyboard - I have zoned out while walking and found myself trying to step on the front, off the back, or way off to the side. A small table or something will help keep me centered in place (I do not have a standing desk yet). It is quiet and seems well designed and well made, not the usual from China. I am loving it so far and have no reason to think that will change as this seems to be well built. ... show more
