I think my wife has every kitchen gadget known to man. However, she did not have these. I'm not sure this would be an asset for a large family but for us (a couple) it is perfect. She makes cheesy potatoes in the toaster oven and 1 dish pastas. All you need to do is soak it in water and the burnt cheese comes right off. Also these are dishwasher safe. Love, love, love these Frewinky ceramic mini baking dishes. They can handle high temperatures and have a non-stick coating that makes cooking and cleaning a breeze. The size is adequate and the oval design is classic. These make great portion sizes for those who live alone, those who meal prep, for making desserts or if you need to adjust a meal to fit a specific diet or preference. There are many ways to utilize these. Often if I make dinner one of the kids or hubby may want that meal with a slight adjustment. With these I can portion out their dish with the adjustment and it works out perfectly. We've made dessert, mash potatoes, lasagne and breakfast casserole. They cooked everything evenly and were easy to clean. The dishes are sturdy, but not heavy. These Frewinky ceramic dishes make a great gift for anyone. I especially think a young adult living on their own, or an older person who doesn't need large portions would enjoy cooking in these and not worrying about waste. I may get another set. Having 2 sets will allow me to prep small meals for my lunch during the work week or cook meals for my mom. These are priced appropriately at $27.99 as of the time of this review and they are definitely worth the price. These are very cute little dishes. The only issue I have is how small they are. Besides that, they are durable, and they didn’t have any cracks or issues with them. They remind me of something you’d put a small, but really fancy dessert in to serve to house guests, which is exactly what I intend on using them for.
