I got this as a gift. I was excited at first but IMMEDIATLEY lost interest when I saw the instructions. Poorly written in broken English; the grammar and spelling is atrocious. By now you've probably read the product description. That alone should dissuade anyone from purchasing this. How many times do they need to use the word "bagpipes"? You don't just assemble it and start playing. Before buying this, go online and watch a few bagpipe tutorials, and then locate a local bagpipe organization or tutor and get their recommendation on a practice chanter. Become proficient, and then invest in a quality product. ... show more

Well got this as a present. Okay first off for a beginner bagpipe assembly is required. Unfortunately you need good instructions to assemble....what a joke. Even if think you understand pictures... good luck on the parts actually fitting... Then as a beginner you are to tune the bagpipes ... are you serious. I would send it back but unfortunately past the return date. The only use for this now is a wall hanging. WARNING: as all the reviews state... stay away from this because you don’t even get what you pay for... Save your money. ... show more

    • Find your local pipeband!!!! Learn to play! Then buy pipes. Good pipes!
First thing I do not own these nor will I ever own any set of paki-pipes. Buyer beware bagpipes are not cheap. Please save yourself a tremendous amount of frustration find your local pipe and (yes you probably have one) reach out to them. Most pipe bands will teach you to play. Most without charging for lessons. Pipes are expensive and complicated. Even for someone musically inclined, you cannot teach yourself. I swear it. There are things in pipes that appear nowhere else in any other form of music. A good teacher wont let you touch a pair of pipes until at least a year on the practice chanter..please I'm not trying to be arrogant or discourage anyone, but please save your time money and alot of unneeded frustration. ... show more

I am a bagpiper. I can tell you. 100%. Do not buy these if you are serious about learning to play. These are glorified firewood. The craftsmanship is wretched. The tone is horrific, and the construction is cheap. Expect to pay AT LEAST $700 for a decent set of bagpipes. Do not buy musical instruments on Amazon!!!! ... show more

There is NO SUCH THING as a beginner set of pipes! These "wall hangers" are made of the wrong materials AND WILL NEVER TUNE. Never mind that you ALWAYS need someone to teach you, whether in person or at least by Skype. Please do not waste your time or money on rubbish like this.
