If you're looking for something that adds nice detail to your display, this is a great purchase. I set it up near the school in my display and added a few children for a great look. These are HO scale but by trimming them down they work fine for N scale. They need to be painted.

I wanted to use this set with Thomas the Tank Engine but it was too small. I did not have any doll or little toy that would fit on top of these. I had to return it.
