This is an adorable little first baby doll, small enough for a baby to hold. It's entirely made of cloth and is very soft all over. The onesie is not removable; it's the doll's body. The only thing that looks as though it might possibly accidentally come off are the bows, so we'll have to check those carefully. The doll is machine washable but I'd put it in a mesh lingerie bag for that. When shaken there is a very soft rattle sound. The expectant mother is a brunette caucasian and it's sometimes hard to find that combination of hair and skin colors in a baby doll. I like it so well I've ordered the similar blonde baby Hope in a onesie, too, as we may have a little blonde baby girl on the way as .well, and if not I'll save it. I was amazed at the quality of this little doll. I purchased for a one year old and she loves it. The size is good for tiny hands and rattles when you shake it. And it’s soft so they can tote around with them.

Sweet and soft and just the right size for my 1 year old to carry. Rattle is relatively quiet, although I wish there was the option for no rattle. Bows are the only thing that can be pulled off if not sewn well, seems okay for now but something to check regularly.
